LeBron James is a global sensation. Even those who do not know him as an NBA legend are aware of him through his various other designations. But in the USA, Bron will always be the beloved ‘kid from Akron’ who made it to the big league with sky-high expectations on his young shoulders. All of which he fulfilled and surpassed.
Hence, it’s no surprise that Bron will have thousands of fans supporting him. But the “King” does not have fans just among the public. Professional athletes and colleagues are also huge fans of the ‘L Train’. And sometimes these pros get a little too enthusiastic when discussing Bron that they forget they are doing it on National TV.

One such incident happened recently and the primary characters are none other than NFL legend Shannon Sharpe and former Celtics champion Kendrick Perkins. Joining Stephen A. Smith on the First Take, the pair had become crazy fan girls. While many were happy with the kind of standing LeBron had among these icons, others didn’t find this too appealing.

Jason Whitlock of The Fearless falls in the latter category. Steve Kim joined the podcaster as he gave his honest opinion of the fighting duo. “I’ve never understood why he [Sharpe] became a groupie for LeBron James other than it worked as a television shtick opposite Skip Bayless,” he said.
He further said that Perkins’ emotions were something that he could still allow; somewhat. After all, the man played with James and was part of the NBA. Yet, he still can’t figure out why “accomplished, masculine athletes are debating on who has served LeBron better and longer on National TV.”
Hilariously enough, his co-host surmised the whole spectacle in one simple, yet powerful sentence. “All I heard was, ‘I’ve been on LeBron’s j*ck longer than you,’ ‘No, I’ve been on his j*ck better than you’.” Things couldn’t be any easier than that. Anyway, this video is one that the Internet is not going to forget anytime soon. Much like how Lillard’s reply to a fan made a stunning comeback with regards to Giannis; Sharpe and Big Perk aren’t going to live this down.

The only “perk” in this is that at least LeBron James wouldn’t have to worry about being smothered by groupies with these two.
