Jaylen Brown has had a surreal few months. He first won the ECF MVP honors not long before claiming Finals MVP honors. His play and tenacity were paramount in the Celtics, ending their 16-year title drought. Additionally, he signed a record $304 million extension with the Boston side and also went public (appearances) with his rumored girlfriend, WNBA free agent, Kysre Gondrezick. Living the dream life (from a fan’s perspective) and relishing in his success, it seems Brown has decided to upgrade another aspect of his life.
According to the Boston Magazine, Jaylen has put his state-of-the-art penthouse in Boston Seaport’s Fort Point neighborhood on the market. The property is breathless and comes with several amenities. The luxurious condo has three spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms. It also offers an outdoor terrace area. Not only that, but Seaport has developed drastically from the industrial community that it once was. It is now adorned with multiple high-end restaurants, lavish apartments and has become a tech hub for Boston.
And Jaylen Brown’s elegant, wooden-bricked apartment is closely connected to some of the best landmarks and restaurants in the area. Other amenities include a full kitchen that comes equipped with utensils and appliances to cook delicious meals and a bar-seating area within the premises. The 400+ sq. ft. roof deck is another highlight of the property. It is reportedly listed for $4,750,000. So, as he’s turned into quite the fan favorite in recent times, what does the fraternity have to say?

Celtics fans speculate about Jaylen Brown’s Boston-future positively after surprise update!
Boston fans were raving over Jaylen Brown’s announcement about selling his lavish apartment. Their shock came for several reasons. Some fans felt he was looking to move away because of the neighbors. Reportedly, his Celtics teammate Kristaps Porzingis too lives in the same building. “So he and Porzingis won’t be able to carpool anymore?” an individual asked with a sad face emoticon.
Jalyen Brown has previously spoken about living in the same building as KP, early in the season. “It’s been a joy. KP is hilarious, funnier than you probably think. He’s a good guy,” he told Taylor Snow. The Boston Celtics teammates shared multiple airport rides. But with the Finals MVP looking to move, it seems like those voyages will come to an end.
The obvious observation, though, was related to JB’s new love interest, Kysre Gondrezick. Fans speculated she could be the reason Jaylen Brown is deciding to move to possibly a bigger apartment. “GOT THE GIRL. TIME FOR AN UPGRADE” an X user lightheartedly speculated. Interestingly, Boston Magazine validated those claims, “writing, exactly our thoughts 🤣”.

Brown only recently sparked public speculations about his relationship with Gondrezick when they attended the 2024 ESPYs together. Notably, the Celtic, while answering the reporters at the event, referred to Kysre as his “date”. They also attended the Lakers-Celtics Summer League game in Las Vegas and were joined by Chicago Sky’s rookie sensation Angel Reese. It is entirely possible that his new relationship had a certain degree of influence on his decision to put the condo for sale.
Some Celtics fans saw Brown selling the house as his way of investing into his future. They believe he could be looking for a permanent place while planning for a long future in Boston. “Probably buying a house because he knows he’s staying for the long haul,” a Celtics fan wrote with hope.
Jaylen Brown has been a beacon for the Celtics community. Apart from his on-court brilliance, Brown has worked to empower the Black community and change the stereotypes around them. One of the main reasons he signed the record extension with the Celtics was in hopes to use his generational wealth to “bring Black Wall Street here in Boston”.
