We are only a week into the season and the Memphis Grizzlies are the most unhappy team in the league. The team hasn?t even won a single match and is at 0-5 in the ruthless Western Conference. Explosive Ja Morant will remain inactive because of his suspension for 25 games relating to multiple gun-flashing incidents. The Grizzlies feel his absence as they struggle on both ends of the floor. Their offense is generating no good, and their defense is getting torched. It’s hard to predict if they can turn things around until Morant gets back.?

Former operations vice president of the Grizzlies, John Hollinger, offers a critical analysis of what?s going on with them. The situation is even more critical when they lose offensively to both the bottom-ranked defense teams; Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.?

Grizzlies have no real option in the absence of Ja Morant

In Morant?s absence, all the offensive load has fallen on Desmond Bane, who is averaging the team?s highest 24.6 points per game. They need another scoring threat, in the form of the reigning MVP Derrick Rose.?
