The last week hasn’t been breezy for the Golden State Warriors. They had to deal with the tragic loss of their assistant coach, Dejan Milojevic. The emotional health of several players could be disturbed. Moreover, they had to play on back-to-back nights at the Chase Center after a two-game postponement in their schedule. At 19-23, every game from here is vital. Up next, Stephen Curry and the Warriors face the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Purple and Gold have had a rocky season like the Bay. Sitting at exactly .500, the Lakers are hopeful of staying consistent and decoding their dynamic. With trade rumors flying, their camp is disrupted. However, it isn’t as bad as the Warriors. The Lakers now have three directions to fall onto in the wake of scoring the ball. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the heavyweights, but former Warrior D’Angelo Russell has been on a hot streak recently.

The Warriors are still the same, reliant heavily on the service of Stephen Curry. But is he going to play tonight?

Will Stephen Curry play against LeBron James’ Lakers?

The Baby Face Assassin is having a marvelous individual season. Averaging 26.8 points per game, he hasn’t shown any signs of declining. Yet his workload has significantly surged. Due to the lack of an offensive partner, Curry is dealing with intense defense every time he is on the court. The strategy has literally become stopping Curry who is responsible for 32.4% of the Warriors’ scoring output.

Barring tonight, which allowed the Davidson product to rest, Curry played on back-to-back nights. Curry played 31 and 36 minutes in those contests. Naturally, the thought of the Warriors giving him rest might pop up for the Dub Nation.

As of right now, Stephen Curry is in fact scheduled to play against the Los Angeles Lakers. He is perfectly healthy and is not listed on the injury report either. Facing the 14th-best defense in the league, the Warriors, who are starting to gain momentum need Curry’s unparalleled shooting prowess and court presence to disrupt the Lakers’ schemes.

Additionally, there is a chance either James or Anthony Davis or even both won’t play as they are still listed as questionable. The Lakers will also be without Cam Reddish, one of their superior perimeter defenders. In the potential absence of such big names, the Warriors will hope to finish the job without breaking much of a sweat.

They will probably have the same starting lineup as they did against the Sacramento Kings. Their five will be Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Brandon Podziemski, and Kevon Looney. Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green will be crucial as the commanders of the bench unit.
