The image of the Warriors has changed drastically since Jimmy Butler’s trade. Who would’ve thought earlier this season that they’d be on a seven-game win streak? Yet, here they are—a red-hot team hungry for more. Honestly, though, the challenges so far haven’t been as tough as the ones they’re about to face. The real test awaits as they welcome the Nuggets and the Bucks for back-to-back games at the Chase Center. And it won’t be easy to take them down tonight and on Tuesday. On top of that, the latest update on Stephen Curry could leave Dub Nation worried.

Won’t Stephen Curry suit up tonight? Well, the answer isn’t here yet. The heavy burden of leading the Warriors has taken a toll on Stephen Curry’s back. He’s dealing with a strain in his lower back and has been seen using a heat pack during the last few games. So, his availability for tonight’s game remains questionable.

It’s no secret that Curry is the main force behind Golden State’s remarkable offensive drive. The 4x champion has played 58 games this season, missing only nine so far. During that stretch, he has averaged 24.3 points per game, grabbed 4.4 rebounds, and dished out 6.1 assists to his teammates.

So, facing the Nuggets without Curry will be like surrendering to Nikola Jokic and Co already. However, pushing him to play could make things worse with the playoffs just around the corner. Steve Kerr and his coaching staff may have to make a tough decision, as the back-to-backs won’t be easy. But a slip-up now could cost them greatly.

Signs of exhaustion haven’t shown yet on Curry, but the team will definitely need the 36-year-old to be fresh for the postseason. For that, they need to secure their spot in the Western standings too. So, the team will monitor Curry’s condition before making a final decision on his status for tonight’s clash. But Curry isn’t the only one on the Warriors’ injury report. He has two teammates giving him company there.

Warriors vs Nuggets injury report

Besides Curry, the Warriors are also unsure about Quinten Post’s status for the game against Denver. The 7-foot center has been listed as questionable due to soreness in his right ankle, which could cause some discomfort. Hence, the team will need more time to finalize their decision regarding his availability.

However, the Warriors have made up their minds about Brandin Podziemski and declared that he won’t be participating in Monday night’s clash. He is dealing with a back injury, and the team is not going to rush him into this game. Although, he might take the court on Tuesday against Milwaukee.

What’s your perspective on:

Can the Warriors maintain their streak without Curry, or is their success solely on his shoulders?

The Nuggets, on the flip side, have a lengthier list, with the availability of three of their star players still up in the air. Nikola Jokic might not admit it, but his elbow contusion and left ankle impingement have been worrying the franchise. They have fallen prey to the harsh back-to-back schedule, so the Nuggets have listed him as questionable for the game against the Warriors.

Joining him in the same queue are Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. Murray has a sprained right ankle, which could keep him from playing tonight, whereas the latter has been marked as questionable due to right calf injury management and a sprain on his left ankle. But that’s not the end of the Nuggets’ miseries.

Christian Braun’s inflammation of the left foot has made his status uncertain for the game as well. Meanwhile, Julian Strawther and DaRon Holmes II have been ruled out. Strawther has a serious sprain in his left knee, while Holmes hasn’t fully recovered from his right Achilles tendon. So, it won’t be easy for the third-seeded team.

The Warriors will be trying hard to extend their streak to eight tonight, while the Nuggets will be desperate to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Wizards last time. But obviously, only one can meet the target. Tune in tonight at 10 PM ET to find out who will have the last laugh in this fierce battle.
