It seems as if various entities from around the NBA world have an opinion on what happened after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s career night. Antetokounmpo wanted the game ball after scoring a franchise-record, 64 points.
But the Pacers took the game ball with them for their rookie who scored his first NBA point. And now, it seems as if Hawks star Trae Young too is going against The Greek Freak by dedicating his latest performance to this 23-year-old rookie.

The Atlanta Hawks faced off the Toronto Raptors in their most recent matchup. Playing back-to-back games against the Raptors, the Hawks were not able to get the win in their previous meeting.
So, it was crucial that the team found a way to bounce back. And Hawks star point guard, Trae Young made sure of it. Young went off against the Raptors, scoring 38 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds while shooting 51.7% from the field.
All of Atlanta’s starters scored in double-digits along with a 20-point performance from Bogdan Bogdanovic while coming off the bench. After the game, Young decided to take the game ball.
Not for himself, but to dedicate his performance to the Penn State product and the Hawks rookie, Seth Lundy. Lundy played his first NBA game and scored his first points in this win against the Toronto Raptors.
I was told that after the game Trae Young made sure to get the game ball for Seth Lundy, who scored his first career basket. Clint Capela said Young did secure it and then got it to Lundy.

The Hawks defeated the Raptors with the final score of 125-104, pushing their season record to 10-14. And by the gesture that Trae Young made, it seems as if he may have subliminally taken a shot at Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Was Giannis Antetokounmpo wrong?
The whole altercation between Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Indiana Pacers ended up sending shockwaves around the league. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle was visibly disappointed after the whole ordeal.
He even spoke to the media and mentioned how the Pacers general manager got elbowed in the chest and may have a bruised rib or two. It wasn’t just Rick Carlisle who spoke on the incident.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban too shared his thoughts on the altercation. He said, “I’d give the ball to the rookie…With situations like that, I’d take the box score, I’d get his teammates to sign it and I’d frame it for him.”
Mark Cuban believes Oscar Tshiebwe deserved the game ball more than Giannis Antetokounmpo, suggesting Giannis should have received a signed stat sheet instead
