“Glorified Nic Batum”: Fans Decimate Paul George as Warriors Dominate Clippers in California Battle

The Los Angeles Clippers put up their best performances with the addition of James Harden in their last game against the Sacramento Kings. All the three-star players in the starting lineup scored in bunches, winning the game by a big margin, including star forward Paul George as well.

Unfortunately, in the most recent matchup against the Golden State Warriors, fans got to see a cold-as-ice Paul George. And many are throwing shade at him for being ‘washed’ and calling him ‘garbage’ online.

Paul George was barely any help to his team

The Golden State Warriors are well on their way to winning their most recent matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. And while James Harden and Kawhi Leonard are still holding their own, the same cannot be said for Paul George.

George has been horrendous so far in this game, not even cracking the double-digit mark. With the Clippers in need of a win to stabilize their season, their talismanic forward has not been able to affect the game at all.

It visibly frustrated fans to see his poor performance in the game. One fan even went on X and tweeted, “This the season Paul George was excited for?”

While another fan tweeted, “Paul George has been a glorified Nicolas Batum the last 3 games.”

It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that George was finally able to make it in double-digits. But his performance during the entire game was not something fans were expecting. George has surely been out of sync since his 6-point performance in the loss against Denver.

Despite being the team’s leading scorer, George’s point production was nowhere to be seen tonight against the Golden State Warriors. And to add insult to injury, George wasn’t much help on the defensive end of the floor as well.

The only good thing was George started facilitating the ball, racking up assists, instead of trying to shoot his way out of this slump.

Fans humiliate George online

Paul George’s poor shooting night led him to bear the brunt and hatred of fans on social media. As many of them lashed out at the eight-time All-Star.

One fan tweeted, “James harden is playing well again. Paul George is playing like Garbage!”

While another fan commented, “The Monstars damn stole Paul George ability again.”

If George continues to perform this way, fans will lash out at PG-13. With a skill-set as varied as his, George hasn’t been able to live up to his “bully” claim over the last few games. With the Clippers unable to decide their play style over the last few games, will George have to step up and improve to lead his team out of a possible losing streak?
