Did Team USA make a mistake by snubbing Jaylen Brown for Derrick White? What do you think?

Ever since Jaylen Brown was overlooked for Team USA’s Olympic selection following Kawhi Leonard’s withdrawal, he’s been the talk of the town. Obviously, people are having a hard time wrapping their heads around how the Finals MVP and Champion wasn’t good enough to make the cut when 3 of his teammates did, especially Derrick White, who is the 5th option on the team. So, to debunk all the speculations, JB was asked about the heartbreaker, but he masterfully dodged the question with the help of Kysre Gondrezick.

Making an appearance at the 2024 ESPY Awards, Brown showed up to the event draped in an all-black outfit with his date WNBA star, Kysre. When asked how he was feeling about not making it to Paris, he quickly steered the conversation in a different direction, saying, “I really got no comment, you know what I mean. I got my beautiful date right here so…”

Even the interviewer understood that Jaylen was trying to deflect the query and stopped probing immediately. While he seemingly did not want to relive the painful experience in front of his speculated better half, he had already outed his frustration by tweeting a wordless response to what had transpired “🧐🧐🧐”.

Then, taking an even deeper cut, Jaylen Brown also blamed Nike for influencing the final selection, “@nike this what we doing?”

Not only Brown, but many members of the media are in utter disbelief about him being snubbed from Team USA. Discussing the same on SiriusXM NBA radio, NBA legend Eddie Johnson expressed, “He was the best player on his team in the entire playoffs and he carried it to the finals, and he gets Finals MVP. Okay? And they pick 3 other players off his team to go to the Olympics. Listen, man, listen. That’s ridiculous!” So, as JB deals with the heartbreak, fans who’ve been alert to his public appearances will have one question.

Are Jaylen Brown and Kysre Gondrezick dating?

With the Celtic showing up to the high-profile event with Kysre Gondrezick, the world is curious to know if the two are in a romantic relationship. Well, by the looks of it, it does seem highly likely. Brown publicly admitted the WNBA star was his date. Moreover, this is not the first time the two have been spotted together. Just a few weeks ago, when Jaylen was celebrating his first Championship victory, Kysre accompanied him to the grand parade in Boston and was spotted at the duck boat and the team bus.

And on the same day, Brown also shared an image of Kysre holding his Finals MVP trophy on his Instagram stories. Even before today’s ESPYS, the couple was spotted together in a hotel balcony. While Brown has stood by his “single” status so far, it looks like that might change soon. More importantly, lady luck has definitely shined on him, as after being accompanied by Kysre, Brown bagged an ESPY Award for the Best Championship Performance of the Year after his dominant run with the Celtics.

Maybe that’s the kind of luck he needs to avoid a snub like the Team USA one!
