Just when things were looking grim for Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers star turned the tables on his recent fortunes. After all the criticism he had received for the Pacers’ failure, he had to showcase his abilities, and he did it against the reigning champions. The guard dazzled on the court with his flashy passes and helped slay the Celtics’ goliath 135-132. His girlfriend, Jade Jones, was in attendance to see the masterclass from her beau and celebrated the big W. But that’s not it. Along with his on-court heroics, Haliburton also had a week to remember, with a big venture to look forward to. While he remained tight-lipped about it, his girl wasn’t holding back her excitement, and the postgame mood provided her the opportunity to celebrate that.
Jones shared Basketball Forever’s post on her IG story, which featured an unofficial poster of Starting 5 Season 2. There is no point in guessing that Haliburton will be starring in the second season of the docuseries along with the other four NBA stars – Kevin Durant, Jaylen Brown, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and James Harden. Jones also added two smiling emojis to the story expressing her happiness.

The first season of the series offered a rollercoaster of emotions, with revelations that spread across the internet like wildfire, vibrant moments on the court, and the sacrifices their families had to make for their NBA careers. This resonated deeply with fans, ultimately leading to the decision to produce a second season of the show. Despite the off-court anticipation, Haliburton is concentrating on his performance more as the show will follow the stars on their journey this season.
Though the Pacers bagged the win by a few inches, they cannot give away the lead as easily as they did against the Celtics. After consistently securing 30+ points in the first three quarters, the Shamrocks looked dominating in the final one. And by the end of the quarter, they equalized the scores. Haliburton and his teammates were forced to settle the game in overtime, where they succeeded in getting three more points than the reigning champs and the leader couldn’t be more proud of the team.

Following the win, Haliburton took the microphone to point out that they wouldn’t have anticipated an outcome like this had it been last season. “For us to go into overtime, I think a majority of people would say we didn’t have a chance to win that game. For us to finally figure that out was big,” the 2-time All-Star admitted. “It’s part of the maturation of this group.”

Haliburton stated that going into overtime might not have seemed like a daunting task for a team that had shown its dominance for most of the game. However, he added, “We’ve been in this exact same position with this exact same team. It’s a big win for us.”
Haliburton finished the night by stuffing his stat sheet with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. But he still struggled with his 3-pointers. This could usher in a turnaround for the franchise, as the Pacers will be facing the Pelicans on Nov 1 with renewed vigor following this big win.
