Didn’t really wanna put Quinten in that position as a rookie of having to guard high pick and roll,” Kerr revealed.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo out with a calf injury, Steve Kerr’s primary focus was limiting Dame’s offense. And he believed Quinten might not be experienced enough to take on that challenge. “Just felt a lot better with Draymond starting at the five just to start the game out with a little tighter defense on Dame in the pick and roll,” the Warriors head coach further reasoned.
