Moreover, his Ex-Warriors star Gilbert Arenas, who was once upon a time his rival, points out that Bron has a “machine-like” mind. But what exactly does he mean by this?

Gilbert saw greatness the first time he met LeBron James

Gilbert had already seen greatness in LeBron when he first met him. He knows that LeBron wasn’t just born great, but he pushed himself to reach that level of greatness. In The Ringer NBA Show podcast, he recalls the first time he met LeBron. At that time, he walked into a condo with Larry Bird, where Bron was staying.

“From that first introduction to LeBron, I would be like, ‘I can see that.’ When I first walked in, right? He had four TVs with the TiVo inside of ’em, and it looked like a sports bar where he’s watching everything, high school basketball, girls basketball, soccer, like, it was a machine-like mind where he’s watching everything. And that’s what we lost to, we lost to someone who was just smarter than us,” Gilbert says.

So when we look at LeBron now, Gilbert knows that we are seeing a man who has studied the history and knows the game inside out. He understood the nuances of the game and the players he was going up against. Gilbert points out something even more interesting. He says, “He’s the type of player that would call Kareem [Kareem Abdul-Jabbar] and ask, ‘Hey when did you start doing yoga?’… Imma start doing it at 34.” LeBron was just different, he said. He is the type of player who tries to understand all the people who have lasted long in the league.

LeBron has the highest game IQ in basketball

After the Lakers 130-125 win against the Clippers on Wednesday, LeBron shone again as the best performer. He had the highest number of points at 35, the highest rebounds at 12 and the most assists at 7.

He does not seem to slow down, and Bron has won over ESPN’s Skip Bayless, who had nothing but praise for him. “It’s hard to impress LeBron. It’s hard to win him over because he’s got the highest IQ in basketball. Maybe in the history of basketball,” Skip said.

Skip says that Austin Reaves had really impressed Bron on Wednesday’s game. He said that Bron trusts Austin because he has a high game IQ and he sees that Austin has a lot more to offer to the game. Let’s hope that he continues to grow and contribute even more to the team.
