In the latest episode of Gils’ Arena, the former Wizards star talks about the MVP conversation. Among other things, the host and his cohorts discussed when we will witness another American-born MVP. Since it has been almost half a decade since James Harden won. The conversation swiftly shifted to the recent Bucks’ super duo Giannis and Dame. However, Gilbert Arenas has strong opinions about that.

One of his co-hosts asked if Dame could bag the MVP trophy. Arenas didn’t think so. He went on to elaborate, “One because Giannis’ face is going to be in front of everything right since he’s going to be the lead dog that he’s going he might drop down to 28. What is his name going to have, about 26 or 25”.

Furthermore, Gil expounded on a hypothetical scenario where Dame could get MVP saying, “If Dame averages 30 and Giannis averages just 25 or 26, then yeah. But as long as Jannis is in the front, they’re going to always have him as that”. Despite this debate, fans are actually looking forward to the upcoming Lakers vs Milwaukee game.
