Disappointment continues for Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Indiana Pacers upset the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. Hours after a controversial ejection against the Detroit Pistons, the Greek Freak went all out, dropping a season-best 54 points. However, it wasn’t enough to take the team across the line, as they suffered a 126-124 loss. On the other hand, it turned out to be a special moment for the Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton stepped into the league, securing a whopping $260 million max contract extension. Importantly, he has proved worthy of the contract with his recent performances on the court. The star currently averages 22.9 in his eight outings and the team secured the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 6-3 record.

The last 24 hours haven’t been going in Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s favor and the NBA world acknowledges it. Following his controversial ejection during the Wednesday night game, LeBron James stood for the Bucks star. To top it all, he suffered yet another set back during the game against the Pacers.

This season’s assist leader, Tyrese Haliburton, dropped a crucial 29 points with 10 assists to take the Pacers home. After the game, he opened up realizing his NBA dream in his fourth season.

He said, “It’s my first time ever beating the Bucks. So, feels good.” He further added how it was special to beat his home team. Notably, Haliburton was born in Wisconsin. He added, “Anytime you play against home it’s got a special feeling cause you grew up watching them so uh it’s always fun.”

The Pacers restrict the mighty Bucks

The Bucks stepped into the game without their new superstar, Damian Lillard. Even though Giannis dropped 54 points, only three others scored in double digits, the highest being 19 points. Whereas on the other hand, six Pacers players scored in double digits, out of which, three scored above 20 points. The Bucks surely did miss Dame DOLLA, as they couldn’t force their way offensively, even after Giannis’ domination.
