What better way to improve your game than learning from one of the best players in the world? Well, next year’s top NBA draft prospects, Airious “Ace” Bailey and Dylan Harper did exactly that as they got the opportunity to attend a private workout session with Giannis Antetokounmpo. But The Greek Freak did not go easy on his potential future competition as he gave both youngsters a stern warning after teaching them a valuable lesson about Kevin Durant’s ‘Kill Spots’.
In a rare mentorship session organized by Nike, the Milwaukee Bucks star bestowed a ton of basketball knowledge on Ace and Dylan which will help them achieve their NBA dream. Well, Giannis covered everything from the importance of balance to the power of repetition as he practiced multiple drills with the prospects. But arguably the most valuable lesson came when The Greek Freak took the drills beyond the three-point line, “You probably look at it as a basketball court, but it’s not just a basketball court. Like if you saw all the great ones, Kobe, KD, MJ, even LeBron, D Wade, there’s spots.”

Then, zeroing in on Kevin Durant’s elite scoring ability from deep range, he added, “KD when he’s up here, when he’s coming down, come here. This is his spot.” Proceeding to claim that Durant can score from anywhere on the floor be it three-point line, mid-range or post, Giannis had high praise for The Slim Reaper, “That’s why he’s one of the greatest because he has all the kill spots.” Moreover, he taught Ace and Dylan to figure out their kill spots and master them with constant repetition. Sure enough, that’s how Durant has become one of the best scorers ever as he has practiced each shot thousands of times. While Giannis passed on a lot of ball knowledge, he also let the teenagers know who’s boss.
Giannis warns Ace and Dylan as the prospects push him to get his “Sh*t Together”
Surely, the lessons Giannis taught the teenage prospects will help them succeed in the league once they get drafted. But the Bucks star warned them during the session that they will be put to the test once they go pro, “I’m going to see you in the league huh. Every time I see you in the league, I’ll bust your a**. I promise you. I already know your sh*t.” Taken aback by Giannis’ warning, the youngsters replied, “You crazy.” Well, Antetokounmpo is still in his prime and a nightmare for defenders. And with his competitive nature, he will surely remember his promise when he sees Ace and Dylan on the floor again.

Hopefully, that is next year as Harper and Bailey will rank among the top three picks, behind sensation Cooper Flagg. When asked how the session went with Giannis, Harper expressed shock to see the former MVP’s work ethic, “I mean it was great but just to see how hard he goes at every workout.” Meanwhile, Ace was impressed by his competitive nature, “He was showing us being a leader, being a role model.”
As far as Giannis goes, he had a brutal realization after working out with the aspiring athletes, “Both of them were really good… Gotta get my sh*t together. The talent is at an all-time high right now. They coming!” Unlike Giannis, who was a late bloomer in the league and took a few years before he became an All-Star, he claimed the upcoming talent is far more “NBA ready” and can dominate from their rookie season. Sure enough, we saw that with Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren last season. The Greek Freak expects the same from Harper and Bailey after seeing their versatility, “I’m excited to see them in a few years in the league.”
