But what the Pacers did afterward led to an angry Greek Freak rushing to the away side’s locker room to get valuable memorabilia from the game.

The Milwaukee Bucks finished the game with a final score of 140-126. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with a 64-point performance. He also paired that with 14 rebounds and 3 assists for the game. A memorable night for Giannis Antetokounmpo, he wanted to have the game ball from his career night. But the Pacers had other plans in mind as they took the game ball away with them to the locker room. According to senior TNT insider Chris Haynes, “Indiana Pacers took the game ball away after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 64-point game. A furious Antetokounmpo took off for the Pacers’ locker room to attempt at retrieving the ball. It is unclear if he got the ball back.”

This wasn’t the only altercation that took place. During the fourth quarter, Giannis Antetokounmpo was thrown to the floor by Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith which may have led to a fight.
While Antetokounmpo still managed to keep his cool, Bucks forward Bobby Portis was certainly not happy with how things went down. It did not seem as if Nesmith wanted to injure The Greek Freak.
However, that is not how Portis saw the move, and had to be held back by the officials and his teammates.

Did the Pacers go too far?
Giannis Antetokounmpo was calm and kept his cool during the altercation in the fourth quarter. But after the Pacers took the game ball away, even the seven-time All-Star could not control his anger.
NBA insider Chris Haynes, who initially broke the news about the game ball, has provided an update as to why the Pacers took it away from Antetokounmpo. He reported that the team wished to give the ball to a rookie who had scored his first career NBA points in the game.

While we could easily perceive this move by the Pacers as unsportsmanlike conduct, the away team did have a case for taking the ball. Now, there hasn’t been any further update on how things went down after Antetokounmpo rushed to the Pacers locker room. But one can be sure that the rest of the team and the arena’s security must’ve followed Antetokounmpo to avoid a big scene. Let’s see if things unfold further than this after the Pacers-Bucks game.
