$283.2 million! That’s how much money Giannis Antetokounmpo has bagged in his career. But despite the massive bank balance, he has no intention of losing even a small chunk of that amount in fines. That’s exactly why he remained tight-lipped after tonight’s blown call by the officials that cost his team the game, “Rule No. 1: Don’t give away your money. And Rule No. 2: Don’t forget Rule No. 1. So, I’m not gonna comment on that.” But it looks like Damian Lillard did not get the memo as he continued to criticize the refs online despite Giannis’ warning.

After the game, official Curtis Blair confirmed that the refs made a mistake on their controversial foul call, “During live play, we called illegal leg-to-leg contact. During postgame review when we looked at the play, there was no illegal contact on the play.” But the admission was not enough to calm Lillard down as he shared the post on his Instagram story saying, “How does this help when the game has been lost?”

Yes, although the refs admitted their mistake, it does not change the outcome of the game. And the Bucks still have tonight’s loss added to their record. Moreover, this was not the first time tonight that Lillard expressed his frustration as he also tweeted, “Bulls–t call for game.” Well, his anger is justified because he could not help his team recently as he has been sidelined for the last three games after entering concussion protocol. Moreover, it is still not clear when he will return.

Obviously, the Bucks have struggled in Dame’s absence as he was averaging 26 points before the injury. So, his absence leaves a massive void in their offense and losses like tonight, hurt them even more.

Surprisingly, Giannis was somehow very optimistic despite tonight’s loss. Nonchalantly eating strawberries in the locker room after his hilarious reply, he addressed how happy he has been with his team’s recent performance, “Our previous game was good. I think both games we played really well… Two of our best players are missing. The last 5 to 6 games, we’re playing good basketball, and the guys are competing. I just love to see it.”

Obviously, he was referring to Dame and Khris Middleton’s absence as the team awaits a timeline for their return. Although the Bucks lost due to some bad officiating, they had won two straight games before tonight’s loss. And Giannis believes the team can bounce back as he tweeted, “We keep building” after the game. Moreover, he hoped for better luck in the upcoming games, “We have another one in two days. We’re gonna be a little bit more lucky and hopefully you know, the ball, the game, everything bounce our way.” Well, the Bucks face the Rockets on Monday and they would hope to bounce back from tonight’s tough loss.
