Giannis Antetokounmpo just found a little room to breathe after what seemed like a busy offseason. Just a couple of weeks after the Olympics, Giannis was busy planning his wedding, inviting several NBA stars, big-time athletes, and of course, his beloved teammates. This particular wedding was private in all aspects. There are no couple pictures or any moments from the event that were captured by the media. However, the present Bucks including Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and others shared a moment with their picture going viral on Twitter.
Nevertheless, as the wedding came to an end, the Freak and his wife, Mariah shared a beautiful memory together. Antetokounmpo recently posted pictures of a peaceful dinner with his wife. It seems that the couple longed for this moment after their wedding. Giannis, on the other hand, seems to enjoy this vacation of his which, unfortunately, will soon come to an end. Still, as he looks back at his wedding, Giannis might not be happy with this one wedding absentee.

Damian Lillard, the new guard of the Bucks did not attend Antetokounmpo’s wedding in Greece. The lethal three-point shooter attended another wedding instead. But why would Dame not be there for his teammate’s special occasion? Well, it turns out that Dame’s former teammate’s wedding clashed with the Freak’s wedding in Greece. Maurice Harkless was Dame’s teammate in Portland for four years. The two were extremely close, as Harkless was one of the key players of the Blazers at the time.
It may have been the situation where Dame had to pick between the two occasions and had to pick Moe because of the old bond. Evan Turner shared pictures from the wedding on his Twitter with Lillard enjoying the event with his former teammates. Now, is this a problem for the Bucks in general? For the most part, Giannis would have been quite understanding of Lillard’s situation. But this move from Lillard might have alarmed fans amid Milwaukee’s ‘undervalued’ position in the East.

Things haven’t been going so well for the Bucks lately. Khris Middleton recently went through surgeries in his both ankles. Lillard on the other hand went down with an Achilles injury. The bad luck doesn’t end there as Giannis also went down with an injury days before the playoffs, missing his second consecutive postseason. But as they make way for the upcoming season, the Bucks might not be a considerable threat in the East.
Moreover, Dame’s absence during Giannis’ wedding may have raised some eyebrows among Milwaukee fans. Should the Bucks prepare for an upcoming downfall? The answer would be no, mostly because the only obstacle in the Bucks’ way to a deep playoff run is injuries. If the Bucks manage to have most of its players healthy throughout the season, especially the playoffs, there is no doubt that the Bucks will be among the top four teams in the East.
Despite his absence in the playoffs, Giannis has been putting up with the numbers, averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists while shooting a whopping 61% from the field. While Dame had quite a tough time transitioning from his longtime team, he still managed to help the squad in getting wins. It will be interesting to see Giannis and Dame in full swing next year, as the Bucks hope for a healthy season.
