Ah, there truly is no better feeling than the start of a new NBA season. And we are merely days away from the beginning of another epic nine-month marathon. Not only all hoop fanatics, but even the players cannot wait for the season to tip off. Therefore, Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed excitement about his highly anticipated return to the court. Adding to that, he infused Greek vibes into the Bucks training camp.
Amid the ongoing training camp, The Greek Freak posted a video on X where he could be seen grooving to the beats of a song from his homeland for over a minute. “When you know the NBA season is about to start!!!” he captioned the tweet seemingly hyped about stepping back on the hardwood.
Sure enough, it has been a long wait for Giannis because he was sidelined toward the tail end of last season because of a calf injury.

Unfortunately, the injury kept him out for the entire first round series against the Indiana Pacers. On top of that, the Milwaukee Bucks got eliminated from the playoffs very early. Moreover, this was the second straight year Giannis went out with an injury while his team struggled to stay afloat in the postseason. Even last year, he could play only three games in the series against Miami as the Bucks crumbled in five games. So, it’s understandable why The Greek Freak is excited now that he is finally healthy and available to contribute to his team’s title pursuit.
Addressing his health concerns over the last two seasons, Giannis revealed his focus on Media Day, “Just take care of my body the best way that I can and I hope I’m not unfortunate moving forward.”

And the vibe he created in the Bucks’ camp will surely boost their morale heading into the season. Moreover, this seems like a new trend around the league as LeBron James did something similar with the Lakers.
LeBron James’ unique idea created a musical vibe in JJ Redick’s training camp just like Giannis Antetokounmpo
While Giannis Antetokounmpo prepared for next season with epic dance moves, the Lakers took it up a level-notch. He invited DJ Meel to play music at their camp while LeBron James and Co. worked on their game. When asked whose idea it was to host the DJ, JJ Redick revealed, “It came from LeBron. He requested that there be a DJ before and after practice.”
Moreover, the head coach liked the refreshing vibe so much that he even asked if the DJ would stay for the entire camp. But he was not sure of it, “I don’t know. We’re gonna figure it out.”
JJ Redick was asked about @djmeel who has been DJing practices during training camp. “It came from LeBron. He requested that there be a DJ before and after practice. I said to the group, I liked the vibe…DJ Meel chooses the songs. Nobody’s got the AUX cord but him.” #Lakeshow pic.twitter.com/kraYKvfTli

Well, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it was LeBron’s idea to call DJ Meel as the two are long-time pals. Moreover, both LeBron and his wife Savannah have attended the DJ’s parties several times and even promoted his ‘Testimonial Tuesday’ initiative on social media.
Sure enough, Meel is a Cleveland native which is also LBJ’s hometown. And the DJ has showcased his talent at several birthday and anniversary parties for the superstar couple.
