After a brief stretch of happiness, the Bucks faced a major setback at the hands of Jalen Brunson & Co. Facing the NY Knicks at the MSG, the Wisconsin side barely had any answers, as the home team mowed them down with a 140-106 win. Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is bundled up in a strong trade rumor, already set his agenda straight for the upcoming home stretch. Moreover, the hoopster has also left a piece of appreciation for the Knicks PG.

Stepping into tonight’s game, both the Bucks and Knicks had a lot to prove. The NY side was coming off a blowout loss against the OKC Thunder and the Milwaukee team held a three-game winning streak. Looking at the lineups, it looked like Giannis & Co. would extend their streak. Instead, Brunson put up a masterclass 44-point outing supported by Karl-Anthony Towns and Cameron Payne to everyone’s surprise. Simultaneously, Giannis and Dame put up 46 points combined without much support from the rest of the roster.

Taking the loss into his system, Jalen Brunson’s performance left Giannis Antetokounmpo with nothing but praise. Above all, through that praise, he sent a sharp message to his young teammates, saying, “You’re going to want to do your best, and he (Brunson) takes advantage of that. He takes his time whenever you show your hand. He’s going to take advantage of that. If you leave your feet, he’s going to take advantage of that. He’s extremely smart. So you just got to do a better job on him.”

Now that the Bucks seemed to have learned their lesson from the defeat, what’s next?

Giannis has plans for that as well. While they lost their streak, they have an opportunity to win it back with their 4-game home stretch, and speaking of it, Greek Freak said, You got to win gotta win… we just got to show up compete play good basketball win.” Will this advice go in vain, considering the roaring trade rumor?

Over the tenure of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s career, the Greek baller had made it loud and clear that he valued loyalty more than anything else. The Bucks scout went the distance to bring his family, who were crumbling in poverty, into the USA at the superstar’s request. Even in his latest documentary Giannis The Marvelous Journey, the superstar emotionally addressed it.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Giannis' loyalty withstand the allure of a fresh start with the Brooklyn Nets?

Have an interesting take?

Despite this information, trade rumors often link the superstar up with various teams. That’s because of his comments in recent years, about wanting to win after hitting a discouraging slump.

In that hypothetical lineup of destinations, the Brooklyn Nets are suddenly the latest entrant. However, this time, this isn’t a mere rumor, as renowned NBA Insider Marc Stein covered it. He wrote, “The Nets have long been described and continue to be painted as a team determined to be in position to trade for Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo someday.”

As the Nets are in the initial stages of their team rebuild, aiming to rope in the Bucks’ big man isn’t a selfish dream but a reasonable demand to set them up strong. What do you think? Will Giannis leave the Bucks for a (possibly better challenge) and head to Brooklyn? What would you have done? Let us know in the comments below.
