Finally! Something to cheer about for the Bucks fans. Well, they headed into tonight’s encounter against the Jazz with a six-game losing streak. Surely, no one expected this kind of start for the franchise, which was being deemed a legitimate title contender before the season started. As ‘personal’ criticism came their way with question marks set on the Greek Freak’s leadership, and trade rumors beginning to escalate, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard made sure that their losing streak ended tonight.
Fans filled the arena with deafening boos when Doc Rivers’ name was announced during team introduction. So, it was clear that they weren’t happy with the performance so far. Realizing the desperation, Giannis and Dame took over tonight’s game as they combined for 65 points to blow out Utah. With that, the Bucks finally got the monkey off their back by getting their first home win of the season.
Talking about their individual effort, The Greek Freak finished the night with a 31-point double-double, adding 16 rebounds to his name. Meanwhile, Dame had 34 points of his own in the much-needed win. Moreover, he also hit 4 of 11 shots from deep range, which was one of the reasons why the Bucks outscored Utah by 15 points in the third quarter.

Looking back on Milwaukee’s dominant performance, Damian Lillard said post-game, “It feels great. Just getting off to a rough start, it’s easy to get down on yourself and start to panic a little bit and worry. I think tonight we just came out with the right mentality.”
But the experienced hoopster also realizes that the job is far from over, saying, “We just gotta be able to use this as momentum going forward.” And the Bucks need to add more wins to their tally, especially with the Giannis trade sword hanging over their head.

Veteran insider gives Bucks fans a sigh of relief with major Giannis Antetokounmpo update
Obviously, the Bucks’ awful start has led to speculations about Giannis Antetokounmpo possibly demanding a trade, hoping to win a title somewhere else. Veteran insider, Bill Reiter, even listed out the NBA teams that the superstar might prefer joining: “There is a rising sense of confidence that if things go bad in Milwaukee, Giannis could be available for trade. Giannis has already let some people know that places that he is eyeing are Miami and New York.”
What’s your perspective on:
Can Giannis and Dame keep this momentum going, or was this just a one-time show?
Have an interesting take?
However, insider Bobby Marks has shut down those rumors immediately. “He’s not looking to be moved. Milwaukee is not looking for him to be moved… I think we can put away the fictional Giannis trade proposals for right now. There is no concern from that front.”

Well, that does not mean winning is no longer a priority for The Greek Freak. The hoopster had made it clear last year that he aims to win a second title and “create new memories” regardless of the team he does it with. That means the Milwaukee Bucks desperately need to turn things around and keep building on tonight’s win to avoid the risk of losing their biggest superstar.
