“Get Them Out of a Rut”: 3 Years Before Tying the Knot with LeBron James, Future Wife Savannah Confessed a Heartwarming Mission

LeBron James is a global superstar with multiple accolades and wealth. But when he did not have any of that he had the support of Savannah James, his wife now. She stood with him through thick and thin showing her unwavering support for his passion for the sport of basketball. Right from their college days, LeBron And Savannah James are a couple and are only getting stronger day by day.

However, Savannah comes from a small town called Akron. And before she tied the knot with LeBron James, all she wanted to do was give back to her community in Akron, and so she did.

Savannah speaks about her hometown

Savannah James is a multi-talented individual. She is a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Her most essential position, though, is as a role model for the young women of Akron, Ohio, her birthplace. James has always been interested in giving back to her community. In 2017, she founded Women of Our Future, a mentorship program that offers one-on-one counseling and assistance to high school girls in Akron. The program aims to assist females in improving their self-esteem, leadership abilities, and academic performance.

So during an interview shoot with Harper’s Bazaar, she spoke about the difficulties of being in a small town. She said, “I’m from a very small city, Akron. And most of the girls from there, they get stuck. Like they feel like there’s nothing else besides Akron. So I really just want to explain to them that anything is possible.” She further added saying, “I’m starting an empowerment weekend for girls, it’s going to be called ‘Girl listen.’ So many girls have jaded opinions about things so just want to explain to them that anybody is perfect. Basically, get them out of a rut of feeling like they’re stuck or have to do something because someone is saying it. I want them to totally get away from that.”

Savannah is attempting to enhance the lives of at-risk Akron youngsters via the LeBron James Family Foundation. The organization offers a wide range of programs and services, such as after-school tutoring, college preparation, and financial aid. Savannah is also a strong supporter of public education and has worked relentlessly to help Akron’s public schools. But why is her work in Akron so important?

The tumultuous backdrop of Akron, Ohio

The collapse of manufacturing has had a significant impact on Akron. Many families are trying to survive and just make ends meet. As a result, many Akron youngsters are in danger of failing out and sliding into poverty. Savannah James’ effort is assisting in breaking the cycle. She gives young people the help they need to excel in school and in life. She also demonstrates to them that it is possible to attain their goals regardless of their circumstances.

James is an inspiration to young people everywhere. She is teaching children the value of giving back to their communities and making a difference in the world. And by helping underprivileged people she is setting an example of by staying true to your roots.
