Women’s basketball has been making waves, particularly this season. And it is all thanks to the remarkably talented young women like Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, Paige Bueckers, Aliyah Boston, and many more. And their success hasn’t gone unnoticed. More and more people have been tuning into women’s basketball games, with top NBA players more often than not left in shock at the kind of competitiveness among these young women. It seems like LeBron James is no stranger, either.
Talking to Jovan Buha of The Athletic after the Lakers‘ 125-120 win over the Wizards, James revealed his thoughts on women’s basketball. When Buha asked what made the way they play stand out, he said, “They play the right way.” While he seems to be proud of the girls, he couldn’t help but add a main disparity between men and women in college basketball.
“It’s a different time between men and women and men could come out. If I had a big a** season in my first year of college, I’m going to the league. But Juju, she can’t come out. If she could, you think she might. Maybe.” Interestingly, this comes in the wake of LeBron James voicing out his frustrations on being unable to stay away from the March Madness. Although LeBron’s move from high school straight to the NBA shattered all the traditional logistics up until then, the one aspect he could never experience with that decision was March Madness.

Even though a look at his remarkable career is enough to not beat himself up, this year proved to be exceptionally hard. With his own son Bronny James, in college, the father in him ended up watching college basketball more than he ever did. But once he started, the player in him couldn’t put a break on staying away from the craze of it. It is called March Madness for a reason!
But in the midst of all this, the rumors of the 4x champion’s son switching colleges have been rampant. But the ever-supportive father that LeBron James is had only words of encouragement.
“We’ll support him”: LeBron James on Bronny’s tough decisions
Out of nowhere, rapid and heavy rumors started flying around that Bronny James had entered the transfer portal. While there is no official confirmation yet, the eldest son of LeBron James can be sure of one thing. His father’s support is unconditional and so is his family’s.
When McMenamin asked James Sr. about this, he said, “Bronny is his own man and he’s got some tough decisions to make … but we’ll support him no matter what he does.”

This comment happened because of how widely another rumor spread – James micromanaging his son’s decision. Everybody knows how Bron has insisted time and again his wish of playing with his son before hanging his boots. With his contract coming to an end this season, it’s a reasonable assumption that the 4x champion would sign with a team that would draft Bronny.
But if the USC guard does switch colleges, the result could be a LeBron move to a team near the college his son chooses. There have been many speculations around this, with choices ranging from the Trail Blazers, Knicks, to Cavaliers.

Whatever the fact of the matter is, Bronny James knows that he has the full support of his father. That’s the best thing a child can hear from his parent. And we all know how much the “King” loves his family. Either way, LeBron will have a hard time keeping himself away from college basketball.
