LeBron James and Co. are currently struggling to make a mark in the ongoing exhibition game against South Sudan! While initially securing an early lead, Team USA was trailing by 44-58 as halftime approached. Then, with 1:49 minutes remaining in the third quarter, the star roster continues to trail by 76-70. This setback has led two of the leading scorers to develop a sense of frustration, the brunt of which was faced by the on-court referees.

During the 2 quarter, as South Sudan continued building their lead, the visible dismay on LeBron James’ face could not be more clearly captured. As a call was made in favor of South Sudan’s Carlik Jones after he had a fall, the look that both the All-Time NBA lead scorer and Stephen Curry gave to the referees is something that no one would want to be on the receiving end of.

LeBron James is someone who has had his fair share of issues on-court with referees. It was only three months ago, during a game against the Washington Wizards when the Lakers star took offense at a no-call made against him. Even though the Lakers ended up winning the game 125-120, it still didn’t stop him from expressing himself.

He stated, “Call the f**king foul. B**ch a** n**ga” during the matchup. Weeks later, he would take offense after a foul call made against rival Michael Porter Jr. made all the difference in the Denver Nuggets’ close win. This caused him to vent out during the post-game presser by stating, “What the f**k do we have a replay center for if it’s going to go like that? It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Fortunately, LeBron and Steph’s frustration may have not stayed for long. By some miracle, Team USA was able to take the lead during the final 10 seconds and won the matchup 101-100. While this win continues to place them in the unbeatable category, such a close encounter is something to worry about. However, the Team USA faithful trust that the solution to break through South Sudan’s defense would be figured out by the time LeBron James and Co. face them again in the Paris Olympics.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry are, without a doubt, two of the greatest players of the modern era. Despite being in their late and mid-30s respectively, the duo are the ones who are expected to carry the burden of Team USA’s scoring in the Paris Olympics. When the time comes for the star roster to conclude games on a high note, the fanbase only relies on either of them to make the ultimate game-winning drop through the bucket.

In a recent segment of ‘House of Highlights’, several renowned players from the world of basketball were questioned about their pick amongst the Team USA players who would take the game-deciding shot. Derek Lively II kicked off the voting by selecting Stephen Curry. USC Trojans guard and future WNBA prospect, JuJu Watkins, decided to align with LeBron James because of his overall experience.

After all, while the upcoming Olympics marks Stephen Curry’s debut, it will be the Lakers star’s fourth. Unfortunately, by the time all the 21 stars had handed out their votes, Stephen Curry took the lead by 9, and with 4 votes, LeBron James ended up tied alongside Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant.
