Julius Randle attempts to save the team while Ant-Man & Co. looks to throw it all away! Tonight, the Toronto Raptors hosted the lethal Minnesota Timberwolves amid Scottie Barnes’ return. The team struggled to get into the rhythm throughout, as they struggled against the paint-dominant Raptors. Amid this frustrating event, Anthony Edwards added salt to the injury after he blew his top off and let loose his anger on Rudy Gobert.
Well, we can’t entirely blame AE for the act. It was just an uncontrolled reaction to the big man’s blunder. Have a read and decide for yourself. With 5 minutes left in the game, the scores were tied at 95. The Minnesota side had the opportunity to start the clutch minutes with the lead. Randle ran the possession with the ball in his hand and refused to pass the ball to Gobert, who was pleading for the ball in the paint.
Guess what? Rudy Gobert stood there unmoved after the rejection and the refs blew the whistle for the 3-second violation, turning over the possession. In response to the silly act, Anthony Edwards decided to hold the French man accountable, firing at him on live TV. And the Wolves ultimately suffered a 110-105 loss.

Following the loss, Julius Randle, who put up an all-round effort (23 pts and 9 rbs), had a heartfelt message to the broken team. Firstly, he acknowledged that it was a “low point” for the side. Then, JR determinedly ignited the camaraderie fire by imparting some bitter advice, saying, “(I’ve) faith in everybody in this locker room that we’ll turn it around but you know at this point we got to look ourselves in the mirror and decide what type of team we want to be on a consistent basis.” Is this an indirect message to Anthony Edwards after the ugly meltdown? We never know!

What went wrong with Anthony Edwards & Co. tonight?
It’s important to address that the Wolves haven’t been the same since the blockbuster. Even though Julius Randle is an elite addition, it hasn’t improved the side. Instead, it brought down the team multiplefold. Last season, the team competed at the top of the West, but 15 games into the fresh season, the Wolves are at the 10th spot with an 8-7 record. Moreover, the team has also faced a few embarrassing defeats against mediocre teams like the Blazers and Spurs.
Coming into tonight’s game with a hot & cold run, the Raptors found the Wolves off guard and made them pay the price. Speaking of the loss at the post-game presser, Coach Chris Finch felt that the team lacked rhythm throughout the game. On the other hand, Anthony Edwards, who said that the Wolves were a defensive team, struggled to control the team on the paint, giving away 56 points.
