LeBron James keeps on enhancing his legacy with each passing game, and yesterday’s game against the Washington Wizards was no different. Following his impressive 34-point performance in the Lakers’ remarkable comeback victory against the Clippers, Bron delivered yet another stellar performance vs the Wizards. The 39-year-old superstar defied his age and willed the Lakers to an overtime win over Washington.

King James scored 31 points and dished out 9 dimes in 39 minutes of playing time. Bron’s extensive playing time came as a surprise to many, especially after he played 37 minutes against the Clippers just a day earlier. However, the Lakers’ HC credited his stellar work ethic behind his exceptional conditioning in a post-match press conference. He said, “Coming off the game he (LeBron) had last night, pushing himself. You know, that’s why he takes good care of himself, and the fruits of his labor were on full display with plays like that.”

With the Lakers down by three points in overtime, Washington’s Jordan Poole had the opportunity to extend the Wizards’ lead to five points. However, LeBron’s extraordinary chase-down block denied him, and LeBron quickly capitalized with a clutch three-pointer to tie the game on the subsequent possession. This clutch play by LeBron just goes on to show; just how valuable a 39-year-old LeBron still is.

Having said that, fans of the Lakers have witnessed improved performances and results after the All-Star Break. In fact, they have won seven out of their last ten games. This form has catapulted them back into the reckoning for guaranteed playoff spots. With LeBron and Anthony Davis on their roster, the Lakers would be a formidable opponent in the postseason. However, their chances of winning the title remain slim, albeit not impossible.
