Chris Paul is currently playing in the 18th year of his NBA career. While fans in the league often celebrate the legacy of LeBron James in the league, it’s easy to forget how long CP3 has been around. In almost two decades, the ‘Point God’ has played for six teams in the league. It all began with the New Orleans Hornets to now, with the Golden State Warriors, his playoff battles with a prime Steph are the stuff of NBA legend.

However, this season, he started playing with the player that has been his arch-nemesis. In a recent podcast, Chris Paul shares what the transformation has been like from being rivals to wearing the same jersey.

Paul was a guest on ‘Point Forward’, a podcast hosted by Warriors legend Andre Igoudala. In the episode, they talk about Paul’s lengthy career, and mid-way through the conversion he opens up about playing with Steph.

“Knowing Steph the way that I knew him when we were younger, and then Golden State being a sworn enemy of mine for so many years, and now to be a teammate. Me and Steph work out together and stuff like that,” said CP3. He further added, “It’s like this point where you compete like crazy, right? We still compete in all these different ways, but it’s so dope to see how people work, you know.”

While Chris Paul and Curry seem to be in sync in most games, the Dubs are having a horrible season so far. In their recent game, they lost to the Sacramento Kings after being up by 20 points throughout the game. On top of that, the Warriors loss eliminated them from the In-season tournament.

Malik Monk’s decisive shot propelled the Kings into a 124-123 lead, and in response, Stephen Curry aggressively attempted a long-range shot. In a sudden twist of events, the Kings clinched the final spot in the quarterfinals of the In-Season Tournament. This victory held a redemptive sentiment for Kings fans, offering solace after last season’s playoff disappointment and concluding one of the eight final group-stage matches of the day.
