The Los Angeles Lakers are gearing up to face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. With LeBron James already out due to tendinitis on the left ankle, the Lakers are left with Anthony Davis to take the lead. But now even his missing out looks like a possibility.
The Lakers are on a tight and busy schedule since their inaugural In-Season Championship run. And the road trip had been taking its toll on even the younger players of the team. Even though Davis is in the court getting shots in, the latest report reveals him to be questionable.
Gabe Vincent (left knee effusion) is also out.
Anthony Davis is questionable. Jarred Vanderbilt is probable. https://t.co/0OZugYeT1p

The Wolves are at the top, leading the Western Conference 20-6. The Purple and Gold, on the other hand, rank 8th with a 15-13 record. Given the Lakers’ performances in back-to-back games, Minnesota’s home advantage, and a relatively young team, Anthony Edwards & co are likely to get back to their winning ways.
Another driving force for both teams will be that they are both coming off of terrible losses from their previous matchups. LA lost to the Bulls yesterday with a score of 108-124, while the Timberwolves walked off, with a 14-point deficit against the Sixers (113-127).
LA is probably not that doomed – the latest report on Anthony Davis
The Lakers have announced that a questionable AD and probable Jarred Vanderbilt have been upgraded to available. At the right time, too. Minnesota has an 11-1 record in home games. Add to it their previous loss and the young Wolves look ready to tear into whichever unfortunate soul falls before them.
Unfortunately for them, it is not a helpless deer or a hapless rabbit that is in front of them. Slightly wounded and weary from back-to-backs, but still standing tall, are the Los Angeles Lakers. And they are led by the next-in-line, Anthony Davis.
Anthony Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt are both available to play tonight, per the Lakers.

Passing records and making history have become a norm for “The Brow” these past few days. A lethal two-way player, AD has been nothing short of remarkable since his IST championship run. Take a look at his stats from the last five games – 33.2 points and 13.8 rebounds, with a three-point percentage of 50.0 and a 61.9 field goal percentage per game.
A significant difference from his regular season stats, which has an average of 24.7 points and 12.9 rebounds, with a 33.3 three-point percentage and 55.3 FG%. Davis, when healthy and hustling, has shown remarkable leadership qualities on the floor, especially during James’ absence. So, while everything points to the Timberwolves’ success, with the Purple and Gold on the other end, it’s any man’s game!
