The past decade has seen some elite guards dominate the game and win some major accolades. One of them is two-time NBA champion Rajon Rondo. The former Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers guard recently joined former NBA star JJ Reddick on his podcast and talked about his time in the league, playing with LeBron James, and many other topics. Interestingly, he also gave his opinions on one of his rivals.

The ‘Point God’ Chris Paul has had some fiery moments with Rondo. However, it looks like the NBA veteran has buried the hatchet as he congratulated Paul for his career.

From similar physical traits to play styles, Rondo and Paul were the two-floor generals of their team. It seems like even Rondo accepts their similarities.

While talking with JJ Reddick, the 2008 NBA champion with the Celtics agreed that he shares a lot with CP3. Moreover, he also congratulated the new Golden State Warriors star for his brilliant career.

“What he has done in his career, you know, it’s unmatched and I always hear that a lot. We are mutual friends with Trevor and he always says that we have a lot of similarities. Maybe that’s why we were so feisty, always competing. It’s a lot of respect to him and what he has done for his career”, said Rondo.

His statement comes years after Rondo and Paul engaged in a fight mid-game. Interestingly, LeBron James had to intervene to break up the fight.
