The incident took place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, when the Lakers hosted the Rockets at the Crypto.com Arena. Smith Jr, the son of former NBA player Jabari Smith, was on the court for the Rockets, ready to face off against the GOAT. Little did anyone know, he had a fun fact up his sleeve, ready to be a moment.?
A rookie’s revelation to a veteran

As the game progressed, Smith Jr. found himself by the side court to share a piece of trivia with LeBron James. He told the Lakers’ star, “You played against my dad, your first NBA game ever.” The revelation left James momentarily stunned, before Smith Jr. added, “You feel old, don’t you?”?
Jabari Smith Jr. was the #3 overall pick by the Houston Rockets and had a subdued start, scoring only 10 points in his debut.
However, his potential has impressed many. His ability to protect the rim, switch on defense, and contribute offensively makes him a valuable asset as a rookie in the league.
