Ironically, this moment took place slightly less than a year after the power forward had punched Poole in his face. A verbal exchange caused that incident towards the beginning of their last pre-season. It cost them majorly as the team slid into bad limelight from the start of the previous campaign. Despite the hopes of changing their fortune this time around, their luck ran out yet again.

The reports following that certainly calmed the nerves of the supporters as Green talked about it with Andscape. The 4-time All-Star restored faith in the hearts of the Bay Area fans as he “dodged a bullet”.?The scan showed nothing extremely serious and he also mentioned, “The swelling is down”.

Thus, it could well be a hiatus of only 4-6 weeks for the GSW superstar. On the flip side, the injury came at a crucial phase of the season. So, one question looms in the corner.

What does it mean for the Golden State Warriors?

The training camps are the time when all the NBA teams attempt to get their mix right. That’s why the games in the pre-season are of the utmost importance to help the players understand the rhythms. Green would not get to be a part of that as he would miss all of those, including the initial few matches of the regular season.

Thus, from the point of view of the squad’s starting five, the chemistry may get hampered. With the inclusion of certain big men and one Chris Paul, Steve Kerr would have loved to sort his lineup out now. It seems as though the head coach needs to wait for more than a month to recognize his best playing five.
