Have you ever experienced a ‘Multiverse of Madness’ moment’ in reality? Well, one just unfolded on the streets of Paris when the most unexpected stars collaborated to give fans an ‘OMG’ moment! At first, recent Olympic star gymnast Suni Lee was seen posing with Kevin ‘Slim Reaper’ Durant during “A Celebration of Olympic Basketball” party that coincided with USA Basketball’s 50th Anniversary party.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the 2x NBA champion has praised Suni. Following her latest bronze medal victory, the social media-savvy Durant had taken to Instagram, showering the 21-year-old with praise for her bronze-win in the Women’s Individual All-around. Tagging her, he wrote, “One of one.” Sharing the screenshot on her IG, Lee was over the moon by the recognition. “omg, somebody pick my jaw up,” the 2x gold medalist wrote in her story updates.

Now coming back to the gala evening, to add more glitz to glamor, Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker, too, posted a photo of himself, with an arm around Lee, on his Instagram story.

Interestingly, this is not the only star-studded tie-up that evening. Lebron James was seen posing alongside former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his daughter Vivian. The latter also shared an Instagram Story, writing, “WE GOT YOUR BACK!!! @usabasketball @kingjames” The seven-time Super Bowl winner also mingled with the likes of Derrick White, Drue Holiday, and Jayson Tatum. On the other hand, US swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky was seen speaking to Steph Curry.

The party that was organized ahead of the knockout games on Thursday, also featured unofficial US mascot this summer, Snoop Dogg. The rapper performed hits like ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, and Next’s ‘Too Close’.

However, nothing could excite fans more than Sunisa Lee’s priceless pictures with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, as they promptly took to social media with some wild speculations!

As expected, the picture launched a storm of rumors with some even suggesting a love triangle in the making. On that note, one fan wrote, “Everyone is thinking the same thing…” coupled with googly eyes emoji!

Of course, that’s a wild hypothesis at most, considering that the gymnast has reportedly been dating budding UFC Trojans footballer Jaylin Smith since 2021—also confirmed on Team USA’s official website. However, in a sad turn of events, the 21-year-old had to face racial backlash when she made her relationship Instagram official that same year. Later, Lee had addressed the unfortunate incident on TikTok, writing, “I’ve received so much hate😭 they support me when it’s beneficial for them never when it comes to my happiness. thank you!💗”, in response to a post supporting her.

Having said that, for NBA fans though, the most noticeable aspect of Lee’s picture was her height difference with Durant and Booker. “David and Goliath,” one user commented. Lee stands at just 5’0, while Kevin Durant, even with the shortest height he prefers according to his mood, six-foot-nine, would still tower over the petite gymnast! On the other hand, Kevin Booker stands at six-foot-four.

Durant’s height, though, has always been a point of contention among fans. He is listed as 6’11” on the Phoenix Suns’ website, Basketball Reference and ESPN. On the other hand, Durant himself has claimed he’s much shorter than that. In an interview with Up and Adams Show’s Kay Adams, he threw a direct dig at Philadephia 76ers’Joel Embiid, saying, “I’m 6’9″ so those guys must be shorter than what they say… Embiid’s not 7 feet.” But then again, Durantula’s brother and father have stated he’s “7’0! Exactly.”

As for the alleged “love triangle” Bookers fans couldn’t help but assert their dominance in the situation. After the Suns’ official X handle posted Suni and Slim’s picture, one fan replied with a screenshot of Lee’s reposted Instagram story featuring herself and Booker. “We clear,” they further wrote.
