“No spirit, no personality”– this assessment from Kristaps Porzingis about the current Celtics form couldn’t have been more apt. The reigning, defending, champions of the world are 7-6 in their last 13 outings, raising serious questions over the team’s championship metel this time around. Just like the Celtics for champion shouts, the MVP bids of Jason Tatum took a massive gut punch thanks to the recent slump. The Boston crowd can boo all they want, but that didn’t change their fortune even in Toronto. After the unexpected loss to one of the worst sides of the league, fans were left scratching their heads and now a viral courtside video is making things even worse from the Shamrocks perspective.
The viral clip featured Jayson Tatum gazing at some courtside female fans. Tatum was sitting on the bench with his Celtics teammates when a fan caught him in the act. The video begins with the forward’s face, clearly focused on something. As the camera pans to reveal what had his attention, it shows two attractive female fans among the attendees.
The caption of the post reads, “Don’t bring any baddies to TD Garden apparently JT is the opposite of Poole 😭.” The reference to the Washington star comes from a similar moment on the court. For those who remember the Jordan Poole and the courtside baddies incident, it’s sure to bring a laugh but for those who haven’t caught up yet, here’s a short recap for you.

Back when Poole was with the Warriors, a video surfaced from Game 2 of the 2022 Playoffs against the Celtics, where the guard noticed a beautiful girl in the front row and seemingly stepped up his game from that point on. Some believe it was to impress her. And that wasn’t the first time Poole pulled something like that.
Since Tatum didn’t exactly step up in the same way, the X user called him the opposite of the Wizards guard, who’s famous for upping his game when he spots a pretty lady. Watching JT, the father of two young boys, do something so unbelievable, left fans in splits, with some criticizing him and others coming to his defense.
Boston fans react to Jayson Tatum’s latest viral moment
One fan pointed out, “Like you have a whole a** ELLA MAI waiting for u at home making songs about you wtf are you doing???” Tatum and Grammy Award-winner Ella Mai have been dating for over four years, with reports of their relationship first surfacing in 2020. They seem to be serious, even welcoming a son, Dylan, together last year. Besides Dylan, Tatum also has a 6-year-old son Deuce, with his ex-girlfriend. So, the fan questioned why Tatum, who already has a girlfriend at home, was still goofing around like that.

“Playing like that in front of the baddies smh,” another fan commented. Despite being the second-seeded team in the East, the Celtics lost 110-97 to the Raptors, who were in the 13th spot. And one of their top performers, Tatum, finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. These numbers are considered low by his standards. The fan was in disbelief that the 26-year-old would put up such poor stats, especially with the pretty girls around.
“😂😂 he was locked in on them chicks tho,” read one of the comments. That definitely didn’t go unnoticed. While Tatum might have been thinking about something else, the video showed his eyes were clearly fixed on those two fans.
Someone tried to justify Tatum’s actions by blaming the ladies’ attire. “Loser activity 💀😭 ni**a not worried bout them h**s reason they dressed the way they are at a ‘NBA Game,'” they wrote. That surely doesn’t explain what people could see on the screen.

“Now my pristine goat is being pulled into these bullsh*t narratives,” angrily stated a certified Tatum fan. Hearing such things about one’s idol can be hurtful, and that’s exactly how the fan felt. They believed the narrative was completely made up and that Tatum was dragged into it for no reason.
