“Together forever, any problem you got, I got it.” Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards‘ girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, used this quote as just another way to highlight how far the couple’s bond has come over the years. The 30-year-old is often spotted sitting courtside during her boyfriend’s games. She has actively worked with him to raise their 7-month-old daughter while placing their relationship in the public spotlight. However, the spotlight has been on her over the last couple of days due to unproven claims following the NBA star. Ignoring all of that, Jackson has recently brought forward a new dilemma that captured the attention of social media netizens.
Taking to her official X account, Shannon Jackson put out a tweet that stated “do I delete my social media or not,” accompanied by a laughing face emoji. This was a reference to the 30-year-old’s Instagram account recently getting deleted without any prior warning. With one major platform gone, why not go all the way and delete another one to enjoy that bliss of social media detoxing?
No sooner did Jackson put out that tweet when several social media users descended upon the comments section to share their thoughts. If she was looking for public opinion to sway her towards a particular answer, then the remarks left would have left her slightly more confused.

Have an interesting take?
Anthony Edwards has recently been in the news over the claims that he allegedly fathered another child with a different woman. 38-year-old influencer, Ayesha Howard, previously known for sharing a child with rapper Lil Baby, gave birth to her daughter less than a week ago. Immediately after that, the Timberwolves player reportedly filed a paternity suit to determine in a court of law whether the influencer’s newborn was his or not. This situation, and the secondary rumor that Anthony Edwards has fathered two other children with different women, has placed unwanted attention upon Shannon Jackson.
According to another individual, she would probably be running away from the problem by deleting her account, instead of facing it head-on. As a result, this user went ahead and wrote, “no f**k them. let them keep up with you as much as they think they are…. you, your kids and your MAN well off ….. i’d sit back with my feet kicked up, tweeting….”

Shannon Jackson has not been completely silent throughout this whole ordeal. Recently taking to Instagram Live, she outright addressed the whole Edwards-Howard situation and revealed that she was aware of everything even before the fans were. As a result, she wanted to put down any comments containing concern, hate, or any display of emotion towards her by writing, “Y’all just finding out. The fake outrage that y’all having….y’all want me to be hurt…I’m hard body, baby.” On top of that, she used the reasoning that she is a girlfriend, not a wife, to provide support to Edwards by adding to her remarks, “You gotta pick a side. … I’m not a wife.”
One social media user felt that a sabbatical is warranted. As a result, she wrote, “Delete it and live the peaceful life you’ve been working so hard to create. You can never win against the internet.”
The same would work for anyone who doesn’t have a presence in the public spotlight. However, by all means, Anthony Edwards is a public personality, and the media will not be able to shut out his troubles anytime soon. Given her longtime association with the Timberwolves shooting guard, Shannon shares the same fate. As some pushed Shannon to delete her social media footprint, others opposed it.

One joined the latter group by writing, “Nope I love (two heart emoji) seeing yall on my tl.” If Jackson were to drop out of social media, then NBA enthusiasts would be unable to get the perspective regarding the Edwards-Howard situation from the other side. If Jackson’s IG Live session told them anything, it is that they do need that perspective from the other side.
The news around Anthony Edwards possibly having more than one child has created a cloud over him just as he commences his new NBA season. Furthermore, it doesn’t help the situation that another woman’s name, Jeanine Robel, is getting linked with the 23-year-old now. Fortunately, a little investigation will allow fans to know that things are not as they seem.
