Oh, how the tables have turned! It was only last year that Draymond Green served an indefinite suspension for punching Jusuf Nurkic in the face. Sure enough, the Warriors star was instantly villainized by the hoops community, meanwhile, Nurk emerged as the good guy. But this image might have been shattered tonight, as he went from being the victim to the aggressor with one embarrassing act, garnering criticism from the NBA world.

Well, the shocking incident occurred in the opening minutes of the third quarter during the Mavs encounter. As Nurkic posted up inside the paint, he was called for an offensive foul after a shoulder bump to Daniel Gafford sent him to the floor. Sure enough, Naji Marshall was not pleased with Nurkic’s physicality and began chirping at him while the Suns big man walked back on defense.

Nurkic turned around and charged toward Naji, proceeding to slap him in the head. In retaliation, Marshall swung at Nurkic but missed, leading to a heated physical altercation. Then, PJ Washington pushed Nurkic, causing him to lose his footing and fall to the floor. Before the issue escalated, the players were separated by officials and staff members. As expected, Nurkic, Naji, and PJ got tossed from the game for fighting. However, netizens were quick to notice that Nurkic was the one who threw the first hit.

NBA World awaits Draymond Green’s next podcast episode as Jusuf Nurkic’s “need help” taunt is used against him!

Surprisingly, Nurkic’s aggressive act indirectly helped Draymond Green redeem his tarnished image among fans as comments like “Draymond was right” and “But when Draymond nvm man” began flooding in!

Of course, when Dray punched Nurk last year, not only was he suspended for 12 games, but his character was also targeted as netizens began questioning him as a father and a husband. He revealed on Melo’s podcast that trolls accused him of “hitting his wife.” All that emotional turmoil led to the former DPOY even considering retirement. But now, harsh treatment might be coming Nurkic’s way.

After Nurkic failed to keep his emotions in check tonight, netizens used his own comments against him as someone posted a picture of him saying, “That brotha needs help.” Obviously, this was the statement Nurk made for Dray last year after the infamous punch, saying, “What’s going on with him? I don’t know. Personally, I feel like that brother needs help. I’m glad he didn’t try to choke me.” Well, it looks like it might be Nurkic who needs help this time… That’s because a hefty fine and a suspension is likely to come his way.

Some netizens even mocked the Suns’ big man for falling to the floor during the altercation with Naji, “And then Nurkic couldn’t even stand straight lol.” Fortunately, it was the shove from PJ that sent him to the floor and not Naji’s punch. Otherwise, the internet would never have let him hear the end of it.

Meanwhile, fans cannot wait to see what Draymond has to say about the whole incident as one wrote, “Gonna be Draymond’s next podcast.” Obviously, the vet never shies away from speaking his mind, especially when he gets a chance to blast people who’ve criticized him in the past. And Nurk’s become one of his arch-rivals since last year as they’ve gone at each other on multiple occasions.

Dray even called him a “coward” for badmouthing him after their first meeting since Nurkic was punched. What do you think the former DPOY will say this time?
