They shared the clip of Bryce trying his hands with an NFL game ball. Their caption read: “Bryce James could be a QB tbh 👀”

But then, imagine if ‘His Airness’ stuck to Minor League Baseball for the rest of his career, the world of basketball could’ve never relished the true essence of the GOAT. Meanwhile, the NCAA star’s playful moment as a quarterback was just a little break. Meanwhile, the fan community seems divided in their opinions on Bryce showing off his catching skills.

Bryce James surprised fans with his newfound football skills

American football is quite an interesting sport. With the NFL considered the most elite league, many players struggle to find a place there. Only merit and talent can pave the way for the very best. If someone like Bryce James surprises fans with his beginner skills, it hints that his talent might be innate. Overtime shared a clip on X showing James Jr. performing quarterback moves: catching the ball and throwing it long.

This reminded some of the fans of Michael Jordan’s baseball era. One fan wrote: “would love that move, reminds me of MJ playing baseball.” After retiring in 1992, ‘Air Jordan’ spent the next two years hitting home runs. From 1993 to 1995, Jordan played in Minor League Baseball, as if he was never a basketball sensation. However, the comeback happened in 1995. So, is there a chance Bryce James could take Michael Jordan’s path? However, it’s also crucial to understand that not every basketball player could be like Michael Jordan who relished success in two different sports.

Another fan found it rather surprising that Bryce James could play a different sport. “Did either of the James kids even play other sports? But, where there are well-wishers, a few critics find their way too. “This ball has zero zip too it and why is he throwing it so high? Stick too dribbling basketballs,” one fan observed. Fans would rather he continues dribbling the basketball than pick up the game ball.
