My goodness, JJ Redick!
The man came this close to shaking hands with the Grim Reaper of career ends himself. Or so some would say after watching his fuming message for LeBron James mid-game against the Suns tonight. In what was a possession with a 24-second clock violation, the ball, after passing through various hands, ended up in Bron’s hand.
Unfortunately, the all-time scorer failed to get a shot off and the Lakers coach was not in the least happy! So much so that he had an intense message for James. One that the camera caught just in the nick of time and which went, “Shoot the f***ing ball!”

Yup! Shocked and speechless. But not the comment section on X. Many concerned fans dropped warning messages for JJ and they all echo the same sentiment. Be careful. Take this one, for example. “JJ gotta be careful. He just told LeBron to shoot the f**king ball”

The Purple & Gold bailed on their last possession after Phoenix knocked the ball out of bounds. And that gave the Lakers 14 seconds rest on the shot clock. But after D’Angelo Russell and Dalton Knecht gave up the chance to shoot, the latter threw the ball to Jaxson Hayes, who, despite his best efforts, couldn’t find an opening, and was forced to pass it to LeBron James. Sadly, Devin Booker rose as the villain, swatting it off the 4x champion’s hand as he drove to the rim.
Needless to say, the whole thing frustrated Coach Redick. And he didn’t bother hiding it, as you saw above. Neither did X users.

JJ Redick’s remark aimed at LeBron James amasses mixed reactions on X
While the top sentiment remains one of fear for his job, there were a few who believed it was a sign of an excellent coach. “JJ the only coach that could curse LeBron out and not get fired,” said one user. This belief might have stemmed from the alleged rumors of Redick’s hiring being courtesy of his friendship with Bron.

Another one seems to still have a hard time believing that JJ Redick actually did shout out something of that nature. “Never in my life did I think I’d see JJ Redick telling Lebron to shoot the f***ing ball.” Totally understandable, especially given that he is someone who has zero coaching experience and has been handed the reins to a dynasty like the Lakers.

However, one cannot forget the fact that this man is everything that is advanced basketball in this day and age. And he already has a lot of fans for his keen eye. In fact, this next individual points out exactly that.
“ONLY took 4 games… let’s count shall we… 1, 2, 3, 4… FOUR GAMES, for JJ Redick to do something that BuIIet Head NEVER did in 2 YEARS!!! & Ham had waaaaaay worse games to take accountability for than this Suns game… still never did it. utmost respect for JJ,” followed by a shaking hands emoji.
But as mentioned, the final verdict continues to be that JJ Redick will soon be out of a job. “He might go back to full time podcaster if he does that again,” said this user, followed by a crying-a-river emoji, clearly showcasing their concern.

Anyway, as things stand, JJ has taken accountability for tonight’s 105-109 loss to the Suns. Hopefully, this will push the Purple & Gold to perform better, because in all honesty, perhaps the former sharpshooter wouldn’t have been so annoyed had any one of the players who had the ball in their hands taken a shot before it finally landed in Bron’s hands.
