In light of the James Harden trade finalized and the Beard finally at the place he wanted to be, former players and sports analysts are in heated discussions. The most vocal podcast team out there, Gil’s Arena, has also jumped on the boat with this. After all, this deal sent Kenyon Martin Jr. to the Philadelphia 76ers. And the younger KJ Martin’s scores don’t jump out at you.

Anyway, moving forward to talking about how the LA Clippers’ starting lineup is going to be, Gil and his team just cannot fathom how everything is going to work out. Gil believes that there is no way the Clippers starting lineup can be at a championship level. But there might be a chance that things can work out in their favor.

Gilbert, talking to Kenyon Martin, points out the infamous “death lineup” that the Warriors employed from 2014-2019. Going against all the traditional ways of how a lineup should be, the Dubs created a death trap that eventually got them the ring.

The Clippers have four guards – Leonard, Westbrook, George and now Harden. None of them, the right fit for a lineup. But that’s where Stephen Curry and co. take a front seat. None of their players looked like a match for bigger lineups in the league.

Yet, the Warriors dominated, going as far as to win their first championship in the 2014-15 season since 1975.

It’s clear that the traditional positions do not necessarily guarantee a championship or even a division title. But if one is smart enough to create another ‘Death Lineup’ or even upgrade it to suit a particular team’s needs, who knows, we might be witness to a Terminator lineup this season.

Will Harden finally bring his A-game back?

It was the end of an epic when Woj kept tweeting the updates on Harden’s trade to the Clippers. Many sympathized with James, but some, including Daryl Morey, were glad to let go of his once-famous player. Either way, he is exactly where he wants to be now, and the Sixers are going to be drama-free.
