Stephen Curry takes a giant stride in the golfing realm! It’s a well-known fact by now that the Warriors superstar has a tender spot for golf. And, he didn’t only stop at playing the sport but also gave access to the next generation. Moreover, there’s no better time than the offseason for the busy NBA legend to personally open the doors to the bright future of the sport. Above all, after a successful campaign in the 2023 off-season, the Underrated Golf Tour is all set to reach an important landmark.

The Underrated Golf Tour’s official X handle dropped a video of Stephen Curry’s conversation with Gary Williams, a popular sports podcaster. They discussed the superstar, entering the New York City scenes this year. Last season, the superstar organized the junior tour in the Bay Area and had a successful campaign. “Just the wide net we’ve been able to cast in Junior golf. This season being able to plant our flag in the UK, going across the pond, and having our first Underrated golf tour event there,” the Warrior said.

Speaking of the major leap toward the Big Apple, the superstar continued, “Having the Curry Cup here in the East Coast, a brand new market for us. Obviously, a lot of great energy around the tour. A lot of great talent. A lot of great support from our partners, who believe in our vision, our leadership. Being in a space service these kids at a very high level “

Most importantly, Stephen Curry re-tweeted the video and wrote, “Excited for this week @UnderratedGolf.” And why wouldn’t the superstar be excited? As per his latest Instagram post, the third edition of Curry Cup went underway with 26 young talents facing each other at the Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey. How does the Underrated Golf Tour work?

The basic essence behind organizing this golfing event is to “provide a positive, competitive, safe space environment for culturally diverse male and female junior golfers.” So before they reach the late end of the NBA off-season, the Underrated Golf Tour conducts various regional events across the country throughout. Notably, one of the events went overseas and was played in the UK.

Moreover, all these events will culminate in a showdown, the Curry Cup. The top 24 boys and girls from the tour advance to the championship round conducted in New Jersey (This year). In the last off-season, Stephen Curry had almost dedicated all his time to golf. Apart from conducting the junior golf tour, he also participated in the celebrity golf tournament. And ultimately won it. Importantly, he also stunned everyone with a special hole-in-one swing in the tournament.

However, this season, Steph couldn’t participate in the celebrity tournament, as he was caught up with national duty. The Baby-faced Assassin traveled to Paris with fellow Team USA superstars and competed at the 2024 Olympics. They not only just participated but also won the Gold medal with sheer dominance.
