Can Stephen Curry's magic lead Team USA to Olympic gold in 2028? What do you think?

It was the perfect combo pack of glitz, glamour, and glory in the City of Lights for the USA team this Olympics season. The hangover of the 2024 Paris Games is far from over, yet the speculation for the forward-looking star-studded team regarding the next Olympics is already underway as we speak. With a grand podium finish and the clinching of gold by the Men’s basketball team, the NBA stars will soon be back in an action-packed upcoming season. Amidst all the celebrations and the heap of congratulations, some petitions for the 2028 Olympics Agenda are in the pipeline waiting to be tabled at an opportune moment.

Stephen Curry is the top gun in the agenda with some big names rooting for him and placing all their bets on his matchless invincible streak. This doesn’t sound the least bit surprising given that he is currently at his career-best performance and has already made a dent in the basketball cosmos. In a recent video posted by Road Trippin’ Richard Jefferson, Allie Clifton, Channing Frye, and ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins came together to share all of their takeaways, breakdowns, and reactions from the grand finale with a detailed discussion hovering around our centerpiece of attention – Stephen Curry.

If you think about the lack of space in your life, you’ve got to spare a thought for Curry. The Golden State Warriors guard does not have much room left in his prized possession case thanks to his two NBA Most Valuable Player awards, four NBA championships, an NBA Finals MVP award, and even a Joe Dumars Trophy as the 2010-11 NBA Sportsmanship Award winner. Standing tall at 36 years old, the only thing we thought Curry was missing was a gold medal, and that too soon turned up in his vault and also at his very first Olympic Games. Can you believe that?

I’m surprised a lot of people are realizing that this is my first time playing in the Olympics,” Curry had told Andscape on July 8.

“I did play for Team USA in 2010 and 2014 on the World Championship team. I missed out on the three Olympic opportunities I’ve had while I’ve been in the league. So, I’m excited about it. I have a little bit of FIBA experience. The team that we have is amazing. Paris, where the world competition of basketball is right now, there is no cake walk. It’s going to be tough for us to win”

“So, personally, it’s the one thing I haven’t been able to experience: Being an Olympian. Hopefully, we will win gold. At this stage in my career, it’s given me an opportunity to just be so present in the moment and have fun playing basketball. It’s such a pure expression of the game. We’re all just trying to win, so it’s cool.”

Indeed, the way Curry performed this season, it turned out to be way more than just cool. Playing alongside legends like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, Curry came out exceptionally well- getting hold of the ball at the most opportune moment and doubling the digits on the scoreboard when needed the most. The Warrior star decided to keep his best for the last. Having had a comparatively slow start to his first-ever Olympic campaign in Paris, the fan favorite was unstoppable once he found his firm ground. Curry scored 60 points across the semi-final and final, lodging 17-of-26 three-pointers to help the USA clinch their fifth consecutive Olympic crown.

This led the Ex-Warriors star Richard Jefferson to send a strong petition for securing a seat for Curry in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Perkins too jumped in while thumping his fist in the air, saying: “Hey look! We brought home the gold baby. We brought home the gold. You know what I’m saying! Steph Curry did his thing!! KD LeBron, and we brought home the gold. What else do you want me to say?”

This brought in Kidd’s agenda into focus who had this to say after the match-winning streak: “When you talk about Steph, he’s a winner,” he told the Bay Area News Group. “There’s no panic, no matter the score. It’s just positive energy with him and LeBron when they were figuring out how to get back in the game, then figuring out how to control the game, and then figuring out how to win the game.

As you can see, the excitement is quite palpable and runs through the veins as we speak! While the celebratory mode is in full swing, Kidd’s agenda is not in a lot of minds as of now, but everyone would desperately want the sensational star to make a second comeback in the 2028 Olympics, which will be played on the home courts. If Kidd’s agenda happens to come into the spotlight, rest assured we have got you covered!
