The latest matchup between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks had drama both on and off the court. The fans got to see Giannis Antetokounmpo post a career and franchise-high record in points. They also witnessed an altercation that could’ve turned ugly.

This was all the drama on the court. Then ensued the hostile emotions from the Bucks off the court when the Pacers took the game ball. And The Greek Freak’s former teammate certainly did not want to be a part of it.

Jrue Holiday chimes in on Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Indiana Pacers with a 140-126 final score. Giannis Antetokounmpo went off on the Pacers, scoring a career-high 64 points along with 14 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 3 assists.

After the final buzzer, the Pacers decided to take the game ball. This ended up infuriating Giannis Antetokounmpo as he rushed to the Indiana Pacers locker room to retrieve the game ball.

This incident quickly spread like wildfire around the league. But when Antetokounmpo’s former teammate was asked about it, Jrue Holiday pretended as if he had no idea what went down in Milwaukee.

According to Celtics reporter Jay King, Jrue Holiday at least acted like he had no idea what happened with Giannis and the game ball last night: ‘I’ve got kids”.’

Though the incident about Antetokounmpo and the game ball altercation has reached every crevice of the league, Holiday chose to act oblivious to the fact of what happened. Given that the two are not teammates anymore, it is understandable that Holiday chose to act as if he did not know anything.

What ensued after the altercation

The incident between the Bucks and the Pacers did not stop there. As Giannis Antetokounmpo rushed to the Pacers locker room, the Bucks and security followed to prevent it from escalating.

Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle gave a statement as to why they took the game ball. He mentioned that it was Oscar Tshiebwe’s first NBA point, hence they decided to take the game ball with them.

Carlisle also mentioned that the altercation led to the Pacers’ general manager getting elbowed in the chest. Which may have ultimately led him to have bruised ribs, if not more. Let’s see if the league does issue an investigation into all this.
