Miami Heat’s six-time All-Star power forward Jimmy Butler has started a whirlwind of rumors surrounding his future all by simply changing his hair color…. yet again. NBA fans are in a frenzy wondering what his next destination would be and if any of the trade rumors are true. Butler is set to hit unrestricted free agency next season and is said to be looking for possible suitors.

Funky hair colors might just be Butler’s idea of having fun without much meaning to them, but ex-NBA star Lou Williams has validated the trade rumors. He believes “it’s possible there’s a conspiracy going on regarding the constantly changing color of Jimmy’s head” on the Run It Back show. Now, it’s natural to wonder how something as simple as a new hair color could lead to all this talk. But well, if you’re going to have a bright orange braided crown, heads will turn.

You may think Orange is the height Jimmy could have gone to. But, that would only be because you’ve not seen him gone blonde. It led fans to believe Jimmy may switch to the Golden State Warriors! But those rumors didn’t last long as Butler changed his hair to bright red, thereby complimenting the Heat’s jersey. His red hair also matched the themes of Houston Rockets, which also happens to be under Jimmy’s hometown.

Butler kept his hair red for the next few games but then, on December 1st, in less than a month, you could see him flaunting royal blue; a striking resemblance to the Mavericks ‘Icon Edition’ jersey! Now, of course, Jimmy didn’t stop there going orange before the Heat took on the Raptors on Thursday. The orange has led fans to wonder if his next destination is the Phoenix Suns, understandable why.

Those rumors have been constantly echoed via ESPN’s Shams Charania’s tweets. “The Phoenix Suns are another team that Jimmy Butler’s agent, Bernie Lee has indicated in league circles that the six-time All-Star is open to as a destination while Miami listens to trade offers.”, Charania posted. But fans are somewhat upset with Charania fueling Butler’s trade rumors while Jimmy’s agent goes after him.

Charania has continued to report heavily on Jimmy Butler’s possible next destination, with his contract expiring in the summer. On Tuesday, Shams tweeted, “The six-time All-Star is believed to prefer a win-now contender in any trade.” Adding to his reports, Charania later added that the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Golden State Warriors are the ones leading the race to land the six-time All-Star.

But here’s the twist. Butler’s agent, Lee, has called out Charania for lack of integrity, “Alright, listen. I gave you a pass yesterday because I was busy. But if you don’t stop putting my name on your complete and utter made-up b——- because you know you normally aren’t worth my time to acknowledge.” Lee even went on to call Charania’s reports fabricated! “I don’t know what I’m going to do because I’m a middle-aged dad. But just know it would indicate severe dislike. World, all this is fabricated.” 

Speaking of dislike, Shams has also been on the receiving end of fans’ wrath after Lee’s series of tweets. One of them pointed out to him losing all his journalist credibility, “Damn, Shams just lost all his street cred.” Another fan called Charania corrupt for his reporting, “Shams will forever be the most corrupt reporter in sports.” Echoing the sentiment of many other fans, someone wrote, “awful at his job.”
