Jimmy Butler might have made the headlines for his desperate attempt to leave the Miami Heat camp, but no matter how hard he tries, he has to come back to Miami. Wondering why? For the love of his coffee, his BIGFACE brand! From serving his customers to taking a dig at his then-boss, all happened in his newly opened coffee shop. And then the actions followed. Past aside, in his short tenure at Golden State Warriors, even they have learned a thing that he loves coffee and seemingly brings out the best in everyone around him. The six-time NBA All-Star’s love for a cup of joe has developed over the years. But how is the Miami-based coffee shop making news, again?

Before we dive into the news, what made him choose the business? Butler realized that selling coffee was more than making a few extra bucks. It was the fact that how much he loved interacting with people over a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. Recently, while on an interview with ‘CBS Mornings‘, the Warriors star revealed just how important of a place his coffee shop has in his life. And in his temple, he had a unique customer, who brought the Bigface into the limelight, again.

But what news? That his very first customer still owes him money! During the summer of 2020, when Butler started charging $20 per drink, guess who was his first customer? The then-Miami Heat teammate Goran Dragic. While Butler was trying to take advantage of his rich customer base, the Slovenian pulled up a reverse on him. In a light banter, Butler accused Dragic that he never paid for his drinks. “My first sale was, ‘I don’t have cash on me right now but I’ll get it to you,’” Butler recalled. However, the veteran was quick to realize this wasn’t just a one-time affair. “He actually made the same excuse every time. So, Goran actually owes me quite a lot of money for all the coffee he hustled me out of.” But do these ‘losses’ affect the new ‘warrior’?

Well, we’ll have to take Butler’s word for it. Nonetheless, the veteran is grateful to Rodney for always being around him. “I’m grateful for him for always showing up I’m never complaining about all the coffee that he has to make and if I don’t like it he has to make another one.” Stating his barista always shows up no matter what.

Another cool surplus that comes with having your barista is being able to do ‘barista brawls and throwdowns‘ according to Jimmy. Whenever he and Rodney enter another coffee shop, the 35-year-old challenges the employee from that shop to face off against Rodney. That seems cool and although not everything is a competition, it’s fun to have something now and then. Well, it is safe to say Jimmy has found his post-retirement plans, and we might see him more in the cafe than any of the studios. Well, only time will tell.
