Two moons back, the Suns ended their 4-game losing streak. It looked like Bradley Beal’s new role off the bench was the solution for the Valley side’s frustrating run. However, he went crashing down in less than 24 hours after they suffered an embarrassing loss against the Charlotte Hornets. Amid this situation, the Suns’ centerpiece, Devin Booker, who stood as a lone warrior last night, sent a strict order to his teammates.
Bradley Beal, who took up the small forward role this season after Tyus Jones’ inclusion, has had an inconsistent run. After a game-winning 25-point effort against the 76ers, Beal went 5-13 from the field and dropped 10 points off the bench. While he made a stern statement about his future in the team after the Sixers win, last night after the loss, he had a sulking response, blaming everyone, including him.
“We can’t do that. We can’t do that. It’s a tough one. We definitely took a step back,” said Beal. He further added, “Everybody is crashing… The guards are crashing. The Wings are crashing… We’ll got to be better.” That goes without saying, standing in the 12th seed with a 16-19 record, the Suns have to get better before it’s too late. At the same time, DBook gave a contrasting view. Following the demoralizing defeat, he stood like a rock and dropped a stern message, saying, “Don’t try to play the blame game.”

“You can’t have that. The vibes and communication being high when we have it rolling and things going well and then when we get in a tough spot, just fold.” Devin Booker.

Despite a lack of support from his teammates, Devin Booker stood strong and dropped 39 points with 10 assists. Moreover, he expected his teammates to stand with him. He added, “The vibes and communication being high when we have it rolling and things going well, and then when we get in a tough spot, just fold… It’s something we have to work on. Just stay with it. Stay with it 48 minutes.” Well, this isn’t the first time when Beal and Booker have conflicting views.

Devin Booker & Bradley Beal: A growing rift
After the blowout loss against the Pacers, which marked the 4th straight loss, a picture went viral. It was a picture of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker smiling unfazed with 2 seconds remaining during the blowout loss against the Indy side. Moments later, Bradley Beal, sitting in the locker room, said, “We’re not happy about it. It’s a good thing, though. You don’t see guys smiling and happy and sh-t after four losses.”
Moreover, it also sparked rumors about a growing rift between Beal and Booker. The Netizens quickly dropped pictures and videos to make their case, saying the KD & Book has sidelined Beal. At the same time, trade rumors had also picked up pace involving Beal, especially with Jimmy Butler.

While it made some of the Suns happy that they could witness Butler on the roster, Beal knocked it down with a bold statement. While everyone threw in mock trade ideas for Beal, they forgot that the star held the trump card, the No-Trade Clause. Speaking about Butler rumors, he said, “If so, I need to be addressed because I hold the cards. Until I’m addressed and somebody says something different, then I’ll be a Sun.” Do you think the Suns will continue with Beal this season? Let us know in the comments below.
