The Lakers have another go at their latest rival, the Denver Nuggets. A few days ago, the LA side took a trip to the Mile-High City without four starters and almost pulled off a miracle. Tomorrow, they meet again in Los Angeles. This time, LeBron James & Co. has a packed roster, and most importantly, they are back on the winning streak. Meanwhile, the Nuggets pulled the oldest trick in the book with their injury report. That’s what the Lakers’ fans believe.

After a surprising win over the Warriors in San Francisco, the Nuggets took a short trip to Los Angeles. I call it a surprising win because they defeated the red-hot Dubs without Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray in the lineup. Yes, you read that correctly. So, when we expected the duo to lace up for the Wednesday night challenge, the Nuggets side has still put them in a doubtful spot, raising a lot of eyebrows in South California.

Not only that, alongside Joker and Murray, the Nuggets have listed Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon in the Questionable category. That’s four of their starting five. Notably, Air Gordon anchored the win against the Warriors with a dominant 38 points. Is it part of their mind games to unsettle the Lakers ahead of the final regular season clash? We never know.

Meanwhile, the Lakers dropped the update on LeBron James‘ availability. Unfortunately, the superstar remains out. ESPN reported that the medical team would reevaluate Bron in a week, as he is recovering from the groin injury. Anyway, let’s find out what the LA fans have to say about the Nuggets’ injury report.

Amid LeBron James’ unavailability, fans detect lie in the Nuggets injury report

I have never seen a unanimous comments section ever. Lakers Nation host Trevor Lane posted a screen grab of the Nuggets IR on his X handle and asked his followers if they bought it. No one did, and some of them went a step ahead and dropped reasons as well. A fan was so sure that he put his reputation at risk, writing, They are all playing. Mark it down.” Well, we will know that in a few hours.

What’s your perspective on:

Are the Nuggets playing mind games with their injury report, or is it genuine strategy?

Another fan, adding to it, wrote, Hell no, they are all playing. It’s the Lakers it’s their Super Bowl,” That isn’t an exaggeration. In the recent few seasons, the Nuggets have turned into the Lakers’ nightmare. The team consecutively kicked the LA side out of playoffs twice. In 2023, it was during the Western Conference Finals and last year, it was in the first round. Above all, the Nuggets also held an 11-game winning streak which the Lakers ultimately broke in the playoffs last year. Nevertheless, it’s always a heated affair when two talented sides meet.

This fan dropped the most logical reason for the Nuggets to show up with a fully healthy roster tomorrow. They wrote, Denver has to win this game to remain ahead of the Lakers for the tiebreaker Don’t believe it fam.” Yes, it’s all jam-packed in the Western Conference. The race for the second spot is never over until the last regular season game. In the last week alone, there were four changes. So, the Nuggets would look to try their luck against the Lakers for the #2 seed.

Meanwhile, there was a fan who partly believed the injury report, wrote, Not one bit but they won without them maybe they get more rest cause of the Warriors win.” As much as it sounded reasonable, the fans seemed to have contradicted themselves. If the team won the Dubs game without Murray and Jokic, why is it necessary to rest them up again?

Finally, this fan found another reason, writing, Lol did the nuggets just get fried on national TV for sitting their stars?” Yes, Shams Charania didn’t hesitate to call the Nuggets after they benched two of their stars on Live TV. He said, “It’s just a horrible look for the league, and it’s a horrible situation because I was excited to see what I could learn from Golden State playing these guys. Instead, they have everybody out.”

Maybe, this will have an effect on the team’s decision and hopefully, all of them lace up for tomorrow’s challenge. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
