The preparations for yet another competitive season of the NBA are in full swing. One that has made the headlines a few times this time around is the New Orleans Pelicans. With the return of Zion Williamson, NBA fans are looking forward to watching the team play in the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old’s recent comments have made the fans even more excited about their season. Despite not playing in the NBA for 231 days, Zion let go of himself while making outrageous comments.

What did Zion Williamson say?
The power forward was back in training this off-season, where he stepped foot on the court with his teammates after a long time. After landing CJ McCollum last year, their roster looked lethal but ineffective. Zion, McCollum, and Brandon Ingram, the big three of the Pelicans, never played together in the NBA.
So, the scrimmage during the pre-season training was the first time played together. Zion was particularly delighted with the result of their combined team effort and chemistry. The 2-time All-Star excitedly stated, “As the scrimmage went on, it was just like, ‘Boom! Boom! Boom!'”.

He summarized his enthusiasm after watching the lethal shooting and finishing in training saying, “I’m like, ‘Oh man!'”.?Despite being sidelined since the start of the year, the former first-round pick was visibly happy with the potential of the trio. This raises now only one question.

Can Zion turn them into championship contenders?
He entered the league as one of the best prospects of all time. Despite showing his individual skills, he has received criticism for his lack of consistency and care for his well-being.

The upcoming season might change everything for him and his franchise. After a reported applaudable body transformation, he looks ready as an athlete. The inclusion of McCollum brought in the needed experience in the roster and Ingram also developed well as a player in the last couple of seasons.
