Dear, Milwaukee Bucks fans, this is your cue to panic. The last ten games? A shaky 4-6. Not exactly what you expect from the reigning NBA Cup champs. But wait, it gets worse. Their road record? A brutal 10-15. And yes, Giannis Antetokounmpo is still on the roster. But lately, he’s been more on the injury report than on the court. Missed games. Missed moments. Watching the Bucks without their 30-year-old superstar just feels… off. Now, here’s the real kicker—what if his absence isn’t ending anytime soon?
Someone once commented under one of Shams Charania’s tweets, that whenever he posts something online, remember it’s bad news. And well, it looks like that particular fan is correct. Because ESPN’s Senior NBA Insider has informed:
“Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will be sidelined through the next week due to a mild calf strain and will miss the NBA All-Star Game next Sunday. Antetokounmpo, out since Feb. 2, is expected to return to action shortly after All-Star break.”

Well, well, Charles Barkley, now you have a massive reason to worry about! Who’s going to be the legend’s flagbearer in the ASG next Sunday? Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined isn’t just an All-Star concern. It’s for the Milwaukee Bucks too, to find ways to fill the void.
Surely, Chuck has some big names like Nikola Jokic, Karl-Anthony Towns, and All-Star debutant Victor Wembanayama on the lineup. Thrown in Alperen Sengun too, but without the Greek Freak, they’ll miss out on having a major force on the court.
Besides, the bigger dilemma lies ahead for the Bucks. They’re about to face the Sixers on Sunday. And without Giannis Antetokounmpo, they could be in trouble for the upcoming games.

The biggest takeaway from this injury update is that Team Chuck now has a weak spot. To have a strong center who smoothly transitioned into a forward on the lineup is simply a blessing. But well, it’s been short-lived now. Meanwhile, the Bucks are looking forward to bouncing back in the league after their recent loss against the Atlanta Hawks. But to have Giannis sidelined, that too, right before Sunday’s clash? Ouch!
Antetokounmpo has been MIA since Feb. 2, when the Bucks took a 132-119 hit from the Grizzlies. But don’t panic—well, not yet, or maybe a little bit. Per Charania, Milwaukee expects him back right after the All-Star break (Feb. 14-16). So, for now, hold your breath—but not for too long.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is out of the All-Star Game, and that’s a bummer. But here’s a quick fact: despite injury concerns, he’s been an MVP-level beast. Averaging 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 5.9 assists, he’s carried the Bucks to a 27-23 record, sitting at No. 5 in the East. However, the real question is can they hold on without him?

Undoubtedly, the Greek Freak’s unfortunate injury updates are a major blow to the Bucks and Charles Barkley. On one hand, he will miss a few games in the regular season, and on the other hand, he will miss the All-Star games. It’s a disheartening state, and all a fan can do now is wait in anticipation for the superstar to come back soon.
