Life in Miami has been different since Thursday. No more drama, no more chaos, and no more negative light. Guess why? Well, you already know! Jimmy Butler has found his way out of Pat Riley’s umbrella. And the Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has one thing less to worry about amidst his lineups, team balance, and roster. However, after spending five seasons with the 6x All-Star forward. And going into the finals twice during this period, surely Butler is a special player for Coach Spo.

Thus expressing his true feelings for the star who’s now a rival from the ‘Wild Wild West’, the Miami Heat HC had something to say about Butler. The veteran coach believes that with time, he sees “less absolutes” and more truths. However, Spo has yet to understand how the team and Jimmy came to the point of separation.

But, “what I can have is a sense of gratitude completely. It was a great partnership and collaboration for five years. Some really deep core memories. I’m grateful for them. I’m grateful for the time to be able to coach a player like Jimmy,” the Heat HC said of Jimmy Butler. He adds: “It’s so intense. And from a competitive standpoint, to have the team come together in really unique, adverse circumstances and to have that real sense of a team and a spirit. Those are indelible memories that I’m going to treasure for the rest of my career and my life, really.” The 54-year-old legend has nothing but gratitude for the time he got to coach Butler.

Spo further stated: “We turn the page to a different chapter. And, you know, that’s the reality in this league. Nothing lasts forever. And we feel good about turning the page in the direction of our franchise right now. It’s exciting. And expectations don’t change. Our standard is there. So these next 30-plus games, we have some work to do. And Jimmy will be in a great place in Golden State.”

All you can sense from Erik Spoelstra‘s message is that the head coach is nothing but proud of the time he got to spend with Jimmy Butler. Surely there were several highs and lows, while the last few months had been menacing for the franchise. But, for a legendary coach like Spoelstra, to train an All-Star, nearly-championship-winning star like Jimmy, is an honor.

However, the heat Butler has left behind continues to affect Miami’s locker room. Meanwhile, Pat Riley’s new center of the universe, Bam Adebayo has issued a strong message for his team, in light of the Jimmy Butler situation.

Erik Spoelstra’s star boy Bam Adebayo has a message for the Heat locker room

Back in January, NBA insider Rachel Nichols unfolded a chapter around the locker room situation because of Jimmy Butler’s stubborn behavior. Yes, he wanted his way out of the franchise, but at the cost of troubling the team? Well, that’s exactly what the 35-year-old forward had been doing. There was unrest among the franchise’s higher-ups, staff, and teammates. As, the Warriors signed Butler on a two-year, $121 million deal, letting Spoelstra revisit old or new strategies.

On the other hand, the Miami Heat‘s 27-year-old center, Bam Adebayo has a strong message for the boys in the locker room. Speaking to the media, the 3x All-Star said: “The biggest thing for us- be connected. Then we’ll let everything else fall where it left.” Meanwhile, Adebayo is also excited to have ex-Warriors star Andrew Wiggins on the team. Wiggs could become a crucial key in the rebuilding of Miami under Coach Spo. Because, as Bam noted: “Somebody who’s a champion, he knows what it takes to get there.” Thus he’s looking forward to having the star on their roster.

While Erik Spoelstra clears his stance on Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo sends a message to the locker room. Undoubtedly, this is the time for the Heat to rebuild their core, and bring back the championship-winning flames back. They have the depth, the strength, and everything it takes to become the team to grab the Larry O’Brien. Surely, the road ain’t easy, but Coach Spo knows how to turn the tables, so watch out!
