Recently, Dwyane Wade sat down with Bobby Krivitsky of SI.com. The three-time NBA champion was asked about his views on Lillard?s trade request and what he would say about sticking with one franchise. ?Oh, I don’t know,” Wade replied. “I don’t think you need to tell Dame that. It’s his career, and he has, you have a vision for how you want it to go, and you try to accomplish that.?

Wade went on to give examples of Kevin Garnett and LeBron James. Both players spent a good amount of time with the teams that drafted them before taking their talents elsewhere and winning a championship.

No love lost for Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard has spent his entire 11-year career with the Portland Trail Blazers so far. And the inadequacy by the Blazers’ front office to surround Lillard with some star talent and help has led the seven-time All-Star to finally call it quits.

However, the Miami Heat and the Portland Trail Blazers have yet to come to an agreement on a trade for Lillard. It is understandable that the Blazers don?t want to give away their franchise player without getting something in return.
