After the introduction of the In-season Tournament, the players got rare off days amid the busy season. And they found time to spend away from the game, and to relax and unwind. In that same spirit, Jayson Tatum was spotted enjoying a NCAA thriller at Saint Louis. A few days ago, the Boston Celtics crashed out of the NBA IST with a heartbreaking loss in the quarter-final. Following the loss, Tatum was spotted at the collegiate basketball game, cooling off in the stands.

The Celtics took on the Indiana Pacers in the quarter-finals clash. Despite putting up a great performance alongside his teammate Jaylen Brown, they couldn’t take the team home. Eventually, it added up to Tatum’s list of misfortunes in the last few years. However, he found the perfect distraction for himself at Saint Louis from the heartbreaking loss.

Following the loss against the Pacers, Jayson Tatum expressed his angst briefly during the post-game press conference. One of the reporters asked him about the loss and he said, “Wanted to f*cking go to Vegas. I didn’t wanna go home… Next year I guess.”

The Celtics played the New York Knicks after the loss and took home a comfortable win. On the day of the In-season Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Pacers, Tatum had another engagement. He pulled up at Saint Louis to watch a NCAA thriller. Notably, the Celtics star played at Duke University for one year (2016-2017) before he signed up for the NBA draft.

The Saint Louis Billikens took on the Hofstra Pride on Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena. The game went down the wire and the home side had the added pressure of cutting down their losing streak. Eventually, the Billikens pulled off a blinder and took a 71-68 win. A day after the game, Tatum took to his Instagram stories and shared the official pictures from the game, uploaded by the college management.

Jimerson steps up for a much-needed win

The Billikens stepped on the court with a three-game losing streak under their name. On the other hand, Hofstra pulled up to claim an easy win against the home side. However, it turned out to be a close contest, leaving the rising stars to prove their cool in clutch moments. The home side’s star Gibson Jimerson led the team with 21 points.

Meanwhile, it was Terrence Hargrove’s offensive rebound and dunk with 47 seconds left in the game, that sealed the game for the Billikens. They walked away 71-68 victors and improved their record to 7-5. Meanwhile, the Hofstra Pride fell to 6-4.
