Becoming a good NBA player instantly gives you access to the kind of money that an average person doesn’t even make in a lifetime. Making millions in salary plus the money that comes through endorsements and sponsorships, players can easily buy everything they have dreamed of since they were kids. And Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young has been doing exactly that ever since he joined the league, stacking up a multi-million-dollar car collection. With Elon Musk’s Tesla slowly taking over the market, Trae has added another expensive toy to his garage, leaving the community in absolute awe.
Adding to his car collection, Trae recently purchased Tesla’s new Cybertruck and immediately flooded his X with some cool pictures of his modified beast, captioned, “Sometimes you gotta pop out… #SnowMobile” Although the exact price of the vehicle is unknown, assuming that it’s the top model and has been modified based on Trae’s taste, it could have easily cost the Hawks star upwards of $144,000.

While that is a massive amount to spend on a ride, this is not the first time Trae has made such an expensive purchase to scratch his itch. In fact, the first thing Trae did when he got his NBA career’s first paycheck was buy a matte black Audi R8 v10, which is priced at $159,000 or more. However, being a rookie at the time, his first car became a victim of a prank by his veteran teammates, as they filled it with popcorn, leaving Trae in absolute shock.
But he didn’t worry about the damage as he soon added a McLaren 720 S and a Lamborghini Aventador to his garage, both of which combined cost him over $700,000. And adding a Cybertruck to his already insane collection is like icing on the cake!
NBA World marvels over Trae Young joining the “Cybertruck War”
Obviously, it didn’t take too long for the fans to notice Trae’s latest purchase as social media soon flooded with comments appreciating the new Cybertruck. Just marveling at the glory of Elon Musk’s latest creation and all the other cars Trae has in his garage, one fan deemed it a “Dream garage.” Well, having cars worth millions would be every person’s dream, but Trae is actually getting to live it because of his five-year $215 million contract.

Seeing that this was not an ordinary Cybertruck, one netizen with an eye for detail called Trae’s purchase the “coldest” version they had ever seen. Unlike the usual black Cybertruck, the one Trae bought is an all-blue color, likely to match his nickname ‘Ice Trae’. So, it perfectly suits the three-time All-Star’s NBA persona.
This the coldest one I’ve seen so far . Pun kinda intended

Meanwhile, watching Trae buy a Tesla, one fan claimed that the NBA players were having a Cybertruck war. Notably, during the playoffs earlier this year, Wolves star Anthony Edwards pulled up to a game in a Cybertruck, taking the internet by storm. Even before that, OKC’s SGA also showed off his Cybertruck, posting an image on social media. With so many superstars picking Elon’s creation, it seems like the Cybertruck is currently a must-have vehicle for all car enthusiasts.
everybody having a cyber truck war now lol

While most fans admired the beauty, one fan asked Trae the tough question of whether or not he would bring the Cybertruck to LA with him. Ever since Dejounte Murray left Atlanta, there have been rumors that Trae might be the next one to depart. Moreover, many believe that he might join the Lakers to team up with LeBron and AD.
You taking that to LA with you?

Another fan tried to butter Trae up by telling him that the blue color suits him, trying to lure him to join the Orlando Magic! Being one of the most elite guards in the league, any team would improve significantly and even become title contenders if they added Trae. And knowing that he might be available in the market, fans and front offices are trying to lure him to their city in every possible way.
Blue looks really good on you Trae, Orlando Magic blue 💙

Although Trae’s future in Atlanta remains a mystery for now, he is not letting that hold him back from enjoying his off-season as he continues to show off his new Cybertruck to the world. He has undeniably joined an exclusive bracket that includes LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Dwight Howard, and a few more (ball legends known for their classy car collection) with his recent fancy acquisition.
